Seems odd that 516 would be withdrawn, when it is a newer vehicle...
Was this vehicle facing problems, does anyone know? I imagine if it had been VOR a lot due to issues, it would make more sense.

That one was having issues though - something to do with the engine iirc (I'm sure someone will have a more definite answer)? Still parked in Deptford at the same place as it was when first withdrawn. Can't move! Tongue

Registrations can be put on VOSA after the start date as there are special conditions involved especially where there are based on local council authorities and Nexus secured work.

A bit more than that.

The scheme, announced today by the Local Transport Minister, Norman Baker, will allow authorities to improve their current fleet of buses by retrofitting more efficient engines, exhaust after-treatments and hybrid or alternative fuel conversions. Each authority is able to bid for grants of up to £1 million to, which will be used to upgrade the technology used on routes where the air quality does not currently meet European standards.

506 is still in service at Deptford despite being withdrawn last week. She is on the 0831 short 39 from Park Lane today.

Also - 5207's accident has not yet been noted from yesterday as of yet...

566 is now back in Service at Washington seen on the M2 at 15.00 this afternoon.

Just with regards to the repaint of 566, Just looked at my fleet list and 562 is Branded NTL, So that could mean that 563-566 will go onto there, as it would keep it in Numerical Order.

It's good something is happening to them. They're looking awful in the WSS livery - been fading since day 1!

Which will lead to the withdrawal of 504, 505, 514 and 517 - whilst 548 remains as the only older Dennis example under the North Tyne Links brand, acting as a spare?

I'm not sure they'd bother doing that as it would mean remaining etc. as 563-566 are need at their respective depot. And not when in the not so distant future MPD's will be going. Unlike the repaints of the Omnicitys at Percy main, they have got a lot longer in service to come,
