Standoff causes delays
It looks like an extension of the Nottingham Tram to Derby and East Midlands airport, is being used as a sweetener as part of devolution plans for the East Midlands.

I'm pretty sure the Red Arrow service does it in half the time, and is already every 10 mins. I'd rather see the council use the money to subsidise the fares on it.

We kicked and screamed for a Wearside Metro extension, and most parts ended up getting shafted. Surrounding areas lost services, because the Metro was now taking a lot of the footfall. X2, X4 and X85 springs to mind.
