Yes. Pick used to be Sky3.

Maybe the BBC will use some of the licence fee on unlimited data packages for BBC Three viewers Wink

I wouldn't say BBC Four is pointless, it has some good documentaries if your into that sort of thing. I'd imagine many BBC Four viewers would argue BBC Three is pointless. Think BBC Four launched before BBC Three did as I think BBC Four used to be BBC Knowledge and BBC Three used to be BBC Choice. The thing is though, BBC Three will still exist but just not on TV.

I think it would be very easy to merge BBC Two and BBC Four, I don't think either offer enough to warrant being individual channels, especially as they have a very similar demographic. You then keep BBC Three, as it serves a completely different purpose.

BBC Three shows won't go on BBC Four as the shows won't appeal to the demographic of BBC Four viewers, BBC Three repeats normally go on One or Two. I know ITV2 definitely has the new episodes of Family Guy but not sure about repeats.

Do agree that the programming is fairly similar between Two and Four and I think BBC Two even used to have a programming block where BBC Four shows were aired on BBC Two. Problem is which is why BBC Three is going online is possibly because it's mostly popular with the younger generation who will watch stuff online and also have things like Netflix and Amazon Prime so it in some ways makes some sense to make it an online channel although I must say I don't personally like the move to online.

I find BBC4 one of my 'guilty pleasure' channels.
When Mrs C is in the bath or bed, or if I can't sleep - there is usually something of interest on it.
Mind, I always keep my finger over the on/off button. Can't have Mrs C finding out!

With regard to BBC3, as has been said on the radio this morning when discussing the extension of broadcasting hours for CBBC - a lot of the audience no longer watch live telly.
The younger generation, watch it online on places such as YouTube, on iplayer or catch up. Using their ipad's when lying on their bed.
Can the same be said of the BBC4 audience?

I won't find BBC3 that much of a miss. I don't fall into their target audience though.

Seaham Beach also made an appearance. Apparently it is the place to go for sea glass!

Just flicking through the channels between emails (the perks of working from home) and Dan Snow has a show on Yesterday about trains.
He seems to be starting at the very beginning, as he was exploring Causey Arch and the Waggonways up there and is now looking at the Rocket and George Stephenson.

Saw 'Spike Island' last night.
Dunno if it was live or on iplayer (Mrs C had the remote controller), but worth a look.

It was all about the Stone Roses gig on Spike Island and a young band desperate to get tickets, so they can get their casette recording to Ian Brown.

There was even the bonus of seeing internal and external shots of a GM Atlantean too!
The authenticity was spoiled by a few shots of TPX 185's unfortunately.

Aye. I watched this on BBC2 last night.

There was something else I noticed which spoilt the authenticity of the time in which the film set, but I can't remember what it was.

The film, I thought, was rather average. But I like the Stone Roses so I persevered.

Have you seen the snooker on the BBC have been pushing?
Some poor continuity in that as well, but worth a look too.

It must have been a few years old, but on tonights Great British Railway Journeys, POrtillo travelled between Boro and Hexham.
He called at Darlo, Sunderland (visiting the Roker Riviera) and Bedes World - before arriving in to Hexham.
He used TPX, Northern (142's galore) and the Metro. His train to Hexham was a 156.

Being more acquainted with DC, I've only recently started watching Marvel stuff.

Although I have absolutely zero interest in Captain America, I have enjoyed Daredevil and Jessica Jones. I found the second series of Daredevil especially compelling - can't wait for the third.

On the DC side of things, the fourth series of Arrow and the second series of The Flash are due to wrap up soon.

I can't get away with Arrow or The Flash, i watched the Arrows first 2 seasons but couldn't get in to it, my dad and brother watches Arrow though.

Love Marvel, if you get a change to watch them, watch them from the order they were released - note the Hulk standalone movies are terrible.

The Doctor Strange poster is attached, look how good it is! Tongue (Its the American one - date is wrong way around, typical yanks)
