(13 Apr 2016, 4:33 pm)Deleted No, even though GNE think they is money to be made around the Docks I can safely say they isn't unless you just want to count ENCTS passes

so is the change of route on the north side or south side? Angel

(13 Apr 2016, 4:38 pm)Deleted Yes, the terminal points make no differance.

City centre - Grindon - Seaburn - City Centre is the same as Grindon - City Centre - Seaburn - Grindon.

So will this mean people cant make cross city connections

(13 Apr 2016, 4:39 pm)Michael It'll take 6 months and the 33 will be changed - this is depending on how often the 33 will serve the docks anyway, an hourly service could work.

From what I've seen its once an hour the current 5A direction. Things might have changed though since all the Nexus tender carryon.

(13 Apr 2016, 4:40 pm)cbma06 so is the change of route on the north side or south side? Angel

South.

South.

so it must be that either the 10 or 11 will be taking on an old section of the 18/19 route with the 18/19 taking on a new section in its place?

Why? You currently go pallion to grangetown via grindon, you sit at Grindon between 4 and 9 minute. Go via Seaburn depending what time of day it is you might sit at South Bents 9 minutes why can't you do the same now but sit in the city centre.

Areas not served currently was his biggest hint.
Ryhope? Leechmere?
Can't think of many other places not served currently by Stagecoach in the southern part of Sunderland.

Toward road?, the 18/19 from town go up toward road and along vilette road into corporation road to grange town while the 11 goes via 18/19 route from town to grange town. Gives the 18/19 a new section and the old route will have higher freq

Suppose it depends what he meant by areas.

I definitely think we will see some competition in areas dominated by another operator, although maybe not on a massive scale - like we have seen elsewhere.
The benefit of Stagecoach doing so, could be felt across their network - particularly when two operators are needed to complete a journey currently.
