It's certainly the year of winners against the odds... is there time for a snap general election before 2017...? Could do with the Corbyn bandwagon rolling in to number 10!

Not saying that's wrong though, just a general question.

More jobs, less illegal immigration, many reasons...

And that he is now president

To be fair, any presidential or leadership candidate will always promise more jobs. To promise mass-unemployment upon election would be political suicide. However, promising more jobs is one thing, delivering more jobs is something different. In 1979, the Conservative Party leapt upon Labour's failure to provide jobs with billboards adorning the slogan 'Labour Isn't Working'. After being elected, the unemployment rate soared to being double the figure it was under Labour.

Yes we do - and that goes for here too. Neo-liberalism is dead, and the sooner people here stop clutching on to the "legacy" of Tony Blair, we'd start making some progress.

Brown lost in 2010 because he let Nick Clegg and Cameron come across as being the men for the working man. Milliband lost in 2015 because he didn't offer an alternative to the Tories, and we chance to lose again in 2020, if the right don't stop digging their heels in.

Today is the day of the Autumn Statement... got the news on and it's literally them just shouting at each other...

-----------

Theresa May says Article 50 will be triggered in March. Says there must be no attempt to "weasel out of it" and that the Government will deliver for the British people.

GOOD.

-------

Edit: No idea what he's on about for the Autumn statement.

Just came across this in the scotsman newspaper...

Nicola Sturgeon, Scotlands very own fishwife is considering running candidates this side of the border...

Would there actually be enough interest in the SNP this side of the border for it to work for the SNP

Nicola Sturgeon tempted to let SNP candidates stand on England

Another one from North of the Border, Scottish Conservatives claim the SNP have wasted over £940m during there time in power

Tories claim SNP has frittered away £947m while in power

You know what they say - Nothing to hide, and you've got nothing to worry about!

Not the case for Thatcher and her cronies of course. The reputation of South Yorkshire police alone, should be more than enough reason for an inquiry.

It has been one big cover-up and stich-up from the beginning as far as I am concerned.

Whether it be the closure plans or the police behaviour.
The sooner they admit their behaviour, the better.

It'll be either Labour or Tories who'll win, then will give us 4 years of cuts.

Going to be interesting how it has an effect on us leaving the EU.

Interestingly, Labour have been promoting policies over the last few weeks promoting more public spending, such as free school meals.

I think we will see more of the same old with the tories. They have a historic reputation of forcing cuts through

Can't see anything other than a Tory landslide in this election.

Hopefully the Conservatives win seats from the SNP, as Labour sure as hell aren't going to. As much as I like Corbyn and his policies, there are too many people that believe absolutely everything certain newspapers print.
