Whilst I'm not sure as many services should have the same brand. It isn't nearly every service. It's less than 43%.

It would be interesting to see how many vehicles have the brand, to compare to another depot and the number of vehicles under a particular high PVR brand there.

Dan whats the allocation on the 11 on a evening? Yesterday i seen 2 cooperate livery solos on which is proberly better than the solars for fuel and for the amount of passengers carried.

The first two ex-Thames Travel Solos received Black Cats branding yesterday (698 and 700).

They've both mistakenly received Wi-Fi and Next Stop feature symbols, but these will be removed as soon as possible.

Yes, they were removed today.

699 also branded yesterday, slightly different style with the gold strip on windscreen. No feature symbols apart from on the rear. I believe 698 and 700 will have the gold strip added to windscreen on Monday and the bonnet branding modified to remove the feature symbols.

Suits the Solo much better than the L94, I think!

Scania's move to Deptford for the 61, means the Scania's on the 39 can move to the 9 and 38... It leaves no spare branded bus but means all but the X36 will be branded at Deptford.

However the X36 has yet to reappear on VOSA, the previous one was cancelled.

Not branded yet - the news says 'in 3 days' so I would expect that to be Monday.

I also imagine that the Streetlites will be drip-fed into service again as per all other recent Streetlite orders. It isn't as if there is a new brand to launch, just the new buses. I would therefore think that the first could enter service as early as next week.

Should undergo inspection at Deptford this weekend and used for the last bit of familiarisation on Monday and Tuesday.

By Wednesday afternoon, 5463 should also be ready (it is planned to be branded on Monday), and it's quite likely that another will be delivered, branded and ready, so three can enter service on the same day.

Was hoping they would have a few before they went in to service, the "Black Cats" is a new brand though?, maybe the launch will be done at a later date, like the Prince Bishops but then again i don't think the DD or 49 had a launch?

Durham Diamond did - at Durham.

I believe the main promotion came in the form of targeted mail drops. The more traditional methods of parking a bus up somewhere doesn't really work. High cost for little benefit - these events mainly appeal to enthusiasts rather than potential new customers.

I hope the 'tagline' and website link will be moved down onto the black cant rail above the windows after review. Fair enough on 5439 where something is already taking that space up but in this instance where this does not appear to be the case, I see no reason why it can't be used for the rest of the branding.

Is there an acknowledgement of sorts between enthusiasts? You know, if you are on a bus and someone else is spotting, wouldn't it be handy to have a certain wave which means something along the lines of 'Hello, I am an enthusiast!'
