(21 Sep 2017, 5:24 pm)Michael Crash on the bridge in Sunderland, Car has skidded over to the other side of the bridge, and smashed in to 5480.

How on earth he managed to get over 4 lanes is beyond me.

Prob being a complete and utter pleb and driving too fast, then loosing control on the bend. Fortunately he didn't take out any other vehicles aside from hitting the Streetlite.

Spookily enough, the wall a purple Streetlite ploughed in to at the old brewery in Houghton, is now being repaired.
Noticed it earlier today.

I arrived in Hexham bus station today around 18.15.
There was a 'full-size' red single decker X85 standing waiting to set off towards Newbrough (timetable 18:19) shortly followed by a yellow Solo (or it might have been an MPD) X85 arriving from Newcastle direction (which terminated at Hexham).
Was the Solo/MPD perhaps a duplicate (I didn't see the first vehicle arrive or whether it was full or whether passengers continued to Newbrough).
I left on the TEN towards Corbridge (timetable 18:22).

In amongst this the Arriva/Stagecoach X85 arrived from Newcastle (timetable 18:07).

No wonder passengers are puzzled and confused.

I think that X85 is an allocation, from 141 scholars or something, dead to newcastle then X85. Maybe even 686s before hand if I've not confused myself.

Basically it runs light from hexham to Ovington then does 686 to Prudhoe a couple of them then from Prudhoe runs light to Jesmond scholars then goes to eldon Square light then does a duplicate X85.

Nah, I think you're both wrong...

I believe the bus does this:

AM light to Winlaton, 90 to TVTE, light back to Winlaton for another 90, light to Consett, 689 to Hexham, light to Corbridge, short 686 to Hexham, (driver change) then a 686 Hexham - Prudhoe - Hexham round trip, (driver change) 689 to Consett, light to Tanfield, scholars to Crookgate, light to TVTE for 1605 90 to Winlaton, light to Blaydon, 12 Blaydon to Newcastle to form the 1730 X85 to Hexham St Andrews Cemetery.

There's another bus that does an AM X85 from St Andrews to Newcastle, light to Ovington RE for the first 686 trips, back to Hexham in service at 1210. Not sure what it does for the afternoon, but I'd guess that after a driver change it's light back to Ovington RE for the afternoon Prudhoe 686 trips.

Hexham doesn't do the Jesmond schools any more.

8323 broke down earlier today and Deptford lent Chester-le-Street 5211 in its place.  Once 8323 was fixed it was supposed to replace 5211 onits return to Sunderland.  For some reason orother this didn't happen.  Hence 8323 was put on a 60 in place of a Scania that was required for Scholars 5030.
