Any chance Phoenix Coaches, Stanley Travel or Gateshead Central Taxis could run the 32A?

Why has Go North East not been awarded the contract? I hoped they would keep it - polite and friendly drivers, good ticket options and service connections, nice buses to ride, free customer WiFi and Next Stop Announcements.

Also a chance Stagecoach may win the Evening/Sunday service allowing SNE to run the service all of the time.

True. I don't see it happening though. I am expecting Arriva to win the contract.

Not likely since it's a Euro 6 contract.

Surely Arriva has Euro 6 compliant buses? What are your thoughts? The service has always been Stagecoach and has been Arriva, Go North East or both for evenings/Sundays. I can't see anyone else winning the contract. Are Stagecoach buses Euro 6? I don't even know if Stagecoach actually bids for the evenings/Sundays 32A.

Sad to lose Go North East. Tynedale Links and Tynedale Express Monday-Saturday, but nothing on evenings or Sundays.

Yeah I think a key purpose of it will be to act as a depot shuttle. Perhaps replacing the Templetown section on the V1?

I had noticed that, but I just can't see how 5 buses an hour (V1 every hour and V11 every 15 minutes) to that area is feasible as a public service.

Granted, running buses between the bus station and the depot in service when they would be going down there anyway gives them a chance to generate extra revenue, but still odd nevertheless.

Just seen changes for the 309 & 310 from 24th March on Traveline North East.

Monday to Saturday journeys will become standalone with slight timing changes during late evening after 2200.

Sunday daytime journeys still interworking but times swapped by 15 minutes so the 310 will depart Haymarket at xx:15 & xx:45 with the 309 departing at xx:00 & xx:30. 310 will arrive into Haymarket at xx:25 & xx:55 with 309 arriving at xx:10 & xx:40
L469 YVK   13 Feb 2019, 9:25 pm
Noticed this board if Traveline is correct:

- 309 NCL 1915 > BLY 2015 (Mon to Fri)
- 309 NCL 1905 > BLY 2004 (Saturdays)
- 309 BLY 2040 > NCL 2140
- 309 NCL 2145 > BLY 2244

Would the driver of the above get paid for the layover in Blyth and also be able to use rest facilities? There is no way the 1945 NCL departure could work the 2040 return to Newcastle from Blyth as that will arrive in Blyth for 2044.

X31 Route in Newcastle changed, from Gateshead route as is now onto John Dobson Street, Blackett Street will be omitted with services additionally stopping on St Marys Place. No change to outward route.
