(13 Mar 2019, 8:58 am)Stanleyone Wonder if the Scania Omnicities currently allocated to Stanley (toonlink) will be repainted and the brand only seeing use on X70/X71. My calculations are only 4 omnicities needed at Consett, 3x X30 and 1 for am 16 dupe / 836 & X30pm.

Everybody on our end still believes the X30 + X32 is coming down.

Some X30s whilst Consett does the X31s. As it is now with the routes inter working and light running buses from Stanley. The last X30 will run off an X31 19:00 from Newcastle, itself running off a 46 operated by a DD streetlite. All daytime X30s are planned to be run by Consett according to our Duties.

Saw 2 of them but didn't get a pic.

Do you think they haven't had their Cobalt Clipper branding applied as GNE will wait until the majority are refurbished ready for a service relaunch?

Also noticed while sitting upstairs on 6101 their has been vents installed right at the back below the rear seats which were making a right racket and that it was quite sluggish, then I noticed when on 6103 sitting downstairs it sounded a bit different, sounded like the system the micro-hybrid streetlites use where it recovers energy lost from braking to power the vehicle electrics and compressed air systems.

Have the Cobalt B9's been fitted with anything while they've been away making them more fuel efficient etc, was racking my brains earlier as I can remember their was some funding grant to reduce emissions before the new year which meant a certain amount vehicles which went through Newcastle City Centre would be fitted whatever system the operator had chosen to be fitted.

The ticketting of Radio 1's Big Weekend is done by postcode and checking how this year's will work, 50% of the tickets are reserved for those living in the Middlesbrough area, 35% for Darlington, Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton councils, 15% is the rest of the UK. I can't see there being a huge need for Go North East to on the basis of that, Arriva on the other hand...
