(20 May 2019, 4:42 pm)NewcastleOne I don’t think so. There’s plenty of services between S shields and Sunderland and capacity between Sunderland and Durham is fine so I don’t think it needs an upgrade, more chance 49&X66 getting Deckers new than 20 and that’s not very high.

X66 could probably do with deckers, but I don't think they'd get under the bridge

That’s ashame , unless service 20 scales back to run every 15 minutes with extra capacity for passengers, there’s been a few services that have been downgraded in the past (wasn’t service 35/36 got downgraded over time?).
Yes it was from mercs to L94, however mercs were used to standardise and upgrade other services. Cant see frequency or the buses being reduced or downgraded. Most likely the X1 B9s will be used to withdraw older vehicles or become spares for other DD services

With regards to the rumour of the Red Arrows B9's going on the 20, 14 making up a PVR of 17, you'd have another 4 spare B9's if the Red Kite gets new buses so there is 18 B9's to cover a pvr of 17.
