(19 Feb 2022, 8:08 pm)L469 YVK I wouldn't say Blyth's routes are exactly hard with the exception of a few twists and turns on the X8. A batch of StreetDecks would replace the DB300s fine for Blyth's work.
Ashington's X21/X22 is another story. But after seeing GNE use them fine on the X1 including recent extensions to Dalton Park & Peterlee, I reckon they'd just cut it.

(19 Feb 2022, 8:38 pm)Storx It's a bit derailed this but not sure the X21/X22 is any harder than the X10/X11 like. Both very similar routes. One blast from Cramlington / Bedlington to Gosforth Park then meandering around streets for the rest of the route. Agreed they're not the hardest in the world but harder than almost all of the GNE and Stagecoach network and the Gemini's are getting on now. Well built buses, the Streetdecks are just the newer version pretty much anyway and some of the GNE examples in comparison are awful for reliability. The 16 plate examples (6301-07) have been awful. But the G2s (6315-6333) and G3s (6356-6376) have been fairly spot on.

(19 Feb 2022, 8:12 pm)mb134 You do realise buses can be missing for reasons other than issues with reliability? Vandalism, accident damage (particularly with recent weather) or monthly inspections are some reasons why the others could have missed a day of service.Yes I do realise, thanks! I guess 6355 has been lucky with no vandalism or inspections required, whereas the others haven't been so lucky. Newish buses aren't necessarily immune to breakdowns either . I can think of a number of E400's from Consett that's had spells out of service for whatever reason so again, 6355 must have been lucky and it is a demanding route, out first thing in the morning till late evening , seven days a week.
Not being funny, but I'd expect a bus that's a year old to manage a few weeks in service without missing a day.

(07 Mar 2022, 8:53 pm)lloyd647 Does the x10/X9 have it's own rota. Also if so can drivers of other rotas work overtime on it.

(10 Mar 2022, 4:34 pm)Train8261 Don't see the point. They would only withdraw it againI wonder what they would use. Maybe the 69' Plates however they are slightly less high spec than the current ones.

(30 Aug 2022, 9:43 pm)Unber43 X10 needs a dedicated spare, seems every day there is a replacement bus. Really they should've have one from Day one, as the 04:55 service also runs the last X10 20:20 from Newcastle.I thought 6099 or 6100 was the X10 spare, even if not in Xlines livery?
