That 39B board should move to Washington, it starts and finishes there.

Is the 861 just staying as a single decker for the afternoon journey all the time now?. As it runs off the 6.40 morning 20 from Langley Park which then goes on the 20A/65. It also seems Deptfords down a few deckers, one for the 861, then 2 for the peak time 39A's. But 6183, 6185, 6188-6193 havent been on since Friday? Is there a reason for this. Because the Voyagers when to Consett it allowed some of them to go to Washington for the Park View schools there. 6183, 6185, 6188-6193 so where are these going along with the spare B5s for seeming the X21 getting the Old Red Kite X-Lines, as one is already at Consett. Not to mention where the Charcoal B5TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 are going. And they also seem that Deptford is down a decker for the morning X20.

So far, the 20A/65 are allocated just streetlites, today and yesterday from the few buses I seen and what bus times seems to suggests. Bus Times is tracking two deckers on the 20 though, which I believe was the same yesterday. Obviously that’s just down to what I’ve seen or what’s allocated according to bus times. What is the correct allocation is anyone guess as this isn’t exactly a strong point right now!

The morning journey on the 861 was often a single decker, I often passed it. So capacity wise it must just need a single decker. Looking at last week it seems 861 journeys ran onto X20’s which seems to be still allocated deckers judging by yesterdays tracking data, so the 861 was likely just coincidentally allocated a decker in the afternoon.

The X20 now runs off the 461 and 812. As well Deptford no longer runs the 885/886 (one used to run onto the X20, then the other one ran onto the 91/X1)

Really sad whats happened to the X20 like tbh

Passengers using the X1 should be using the X20? Why?

I’d argue these two like for like services exist to service different commuters. Stagecoach will get local passengers who use their local services; the north Sunderland estate routes etc. Whereas GNE will get those from outside of Sunderland, such as Washington/Consett/Jarrow, who use their routes that go outside of Sunderland.

But the X1 serves Park Lane, the only SC Service to do it.

Tbf maybe if GNE actually give a toss and timetabled the X20 right, and from Stand N (why move it to L is just ludicrous to me)

Esocially how the X20 is nearly late everyday as well as the peak time 20 from Rainton which does the 20 to Eas Herrington then goes on the South tyneside circuit and the normal 20 all clash, so all the stands are taken anyway due to that and its a nightmare trying to get to whichever one you need that's not in the actual stand as they're nearly always late so they just pull out.

Yer but on the night the 861s are quiet busy. But even the X20s on the night don't get that busy, i must get one 2/3 times a week and they're not busy. Its the 7:06, 7:32 20s that are suppose to get deckers. But I think thee 6:40 20 to Sunderland from Langley deserves one as well.

5:34 used to get a decker too.

However with the dead run from Seaham being via B1287, you need to be careful that if deckers are on the 65 that they dont go under that bridge at Ryhope unless its an E400MMC, or an OmniDekka

Yer but looking at the timetabnle, it gets into Durham for 20:35, a 20 leaves at 20:35, so its tight but if that 65 instead of going back to Seaham went to Sunderland as it just does a 60 full trip then goes NIS. Then that 20 could go onto the 65 for the 20:45 journey. If the 861 does get a decker.

The X20 shouldn't exist and all people should use the X1. There's no need for 2 operators doing the same peak express.

Do a deal with each other. Stagecoach run the X1 in Sunderland and GNE run the X39 on the Coast Road with valid tickets between each other. The 22X/X39 is even worse, both running 5 minutes apart (3 minutes heading towards Newcastle).

I’m pretty sure I read on here that they do stuff like that to keep the service for when it comes back. Kind of like how there’s one 39 Journey a day. It’s so they don’t have to go through all the hassle of creating a new service again.

Engineering department will probably have a idea of what's happened, very much doubt it will be shared publicly.

Wouldn't of thought anything would need to be brought in to replace 2 buses

Aye possibly like would make sense to be fair.

Mind it's quite clever how the Stagecoach service runs, just been looking at the timetable with it using dropped out boards on the 3/4/12/13 to get the buses back to the depot. Didn't realise it worked like that, quite clever use of resources rather than having a too frequent service in the wrong direction with no-one on.
