(25 Nov 2020, 3:47 pm)big mac The main thing j can think of as a reason for the 13 not being merged with the 21 is the fact for a small section both of those routes go the same way. Meaning the 21 would have to go past the University hospital, down North Road into Durham then back out the same way to go up to Sacriston. Would they want to have a continuous route that goes back on itself?

(25 Nov 2020, 5:25 pm)User2613 What’s the likelihood of the 21 going back to every 15 minutes between CLS and Durham following the x21 being reverted back to every 30 minutes. Then alternating 21 journeys to Durham being extended to Brandon to give a 30 minute service there?I remember when they first reduced the x21 back to every 30 minutes and the general consensus on this forum seemed to be that the current amount of buses per hour between Chester-le-Street-Durham would be adequate, and that either the 21 or x21 having a 15 minute frequency on that section is overkill. Whether the passenger numbers back that up or not I don't know.

Did the 231 ever serve Brandon? I can’t recall but it feels out the way of that route
I have copy and paste all the changes on to a word document for anyone who would like a look
(Not sure how to set it as a post so its a separate scroll box, but if anyone can, you're free too)

(25 Nov 2020, 8:13 pm)Andreos1 'I think' it's only been the 721 and variants of the 46/X46 that have ever done the Newcastle - Brandon/Crook route from the GNE/Northern/United stable.
Can't ever remember the 231 doing that and the prefix would suggest that it didn't either.

(27 Nov 2020, 6:27 pm)Michael Doubt they would move the Voltra buses to the 33 when the funding was for the 53/54 routes.

Bit of a waste using the electric buses on a bus route that carries fresh air most the time and is subsidised.
The 53/54 going down the Quayside isn't unreasonable though, same livery style as Quaycity (which was random) and the Q1/Q2 don't seem to be rebranded which suggests they are going at some point.
Yes thats what i meant the red spare is to be allocated to 33 with another one potentially following. There is room at depot for a lot more electric buses if needed. Q1 and Q2 is going back to 51/52 possibly with different number.
