(02 Dec 2021, 7:47 pm)Andreos1 Coupled in a stack of overcrowding on the services that are running and there will no doubt be such a big drop in confidence, operators won't be able to blame the tories any more.

(03 Dec 2021, 6:49 am)Dan You’d have thought they would mention the services which are running albeit under contract to another operator…Is there any certain requirements for Boxing day services that whoever runs the Arriva services

(02 Dec 2021, 7:47 pm)Andreos1 Any chance the mods could do some merging and do something about what seems like a million boxing day/Christmas threads please?

Go North East have now updated there boxing day buses timetable to show which routes will have what buses allocated
You can find this under the Christmas & New Year part on the website
These routes are
6 will be operated by East Gateshead Loop buses
16A will be operated by X Lines E400MMC
20 will be operated by Double Decker
35A will be operated by Prince Bishops (fun fact you can see what the design for Prince Bishops will look like)
Q3 will be operated by Double Decker
What I find quite funny looking is the design they have used is the East Gateshead Loop put onto an E400MMC it looks strange
Also note that it does not state the X66 will be double decker allocated
(10 Dec 2021, 11:56 am)Keeiajs using what buses, are GNE tickets accepted?

(10 Dec 2021, 12:19 pm)streetdeckfan if the services share any common routes or destinations with GNE, I can see them using some nice, refurbished buses to try and steal some passengers.
Although, when GNE were running the Arriva 6, they ran it with Versas, so maybe not! Maybe since GNE ran the X21 along the same route, there was an agreement that they wouldn't use nice buses?
Doubt GNE tickets would be accepted since it's not their service

(10 Dec 2021, 12:34 pm)Ambassador I doubt passengers would think twice. A bus is a bus to most, especially those off on the drink/visiting family on the 26thDue to it being Boxing Day, most buses aren't required they could stick buses with amenities on them to try and keep passengers or get more for GNE.
