This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Washington Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.
As part of a fleet-wide scheme to standardise the Stagecoach North East fleet in one single livery; this vehicle has been repainted into Stagecoach's corporate livery, losing its sub-branding for services E1/E2/E6 as a result.
Although Go North East already has a large number of Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles in its fleet; these vehicles all have the second version of Wrightbus' Micro-Hybrid system, which achieves 11% fuel and CO2 savings when added to a standard Euro 6 diesel engine. Version 3 of the Micro-Hybrid system, which is fitted to this vehicle, includes an additional third smart alternator, electric air compressor and stop/start engine technology, delivering an additional 10% saving (totalling a 21% fuel and CO2 saving). Having been released for cascade following the transfer of Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 5229 (NK55 OLG) to Chester-le-Street, this vehicle has transferred to Riverside Depot. At Riverside; this vehicle serves as a replacement for Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown 4898 (V988 ETN), which has been withdrawn to allow sale for preservation.
Following the end of the seasonal Whitby Park & Ride service, and the resultant PVR reduction, this vehicle has transferred from Whitby Depot to Redcar (in a reserve capacity). It has additionally been stripped of its branding for the "Whitby Park & Ride" service.
