Ahead of receiving a promotional livery to support the "Daft as a Brush" Cancer Patient Care charity, this vehicle has undergone a full blue repaint, having previously carried a plain red base livery. This vehicle has received "DFDS Seaways" branding, for the 327 service operating between Newcastle City Centre and the International Ferry Terminal at North Shields, to connect with the DFDS Ferry to Ijmuiden for onward travel to Amsterdam. Having been withdrawn from service at Gateshead Depot; this vehicle has been moved to Smiles Engineering, Newcastle upon Tyne, where it will be stored and used for spare parts. It is thought that the engine will be used on similar 5350 (BX54 UCR), and other parts distributed amongst the other articulated Mercedes Citaro 0530G/Mercedes Citaro vehicles at Gateshead Depot.
