Following the entry into service of new double-deck vehicles on "Angel" service 21, representing a £4.3 million investment, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain light blue base livery. It is planned for this vehicles, and the others in its batch, to be branded for the "Coaster" services and transfer to Percy Main to operate services 1/1A (Whitley Bay - Wallsend - Newcastle - Gateshead).

This vehicle has been repainted into Arriva's new corporate livery. The company's new corporate identity, which includes a new logo and brighter colours, will be applied across the group in a phased introduction. The group said a 'cost effective and evolutionary approach' will be taken, which will see the new colours and livery rolled out from Q1 2017 as and when vehicles and other materials are due to be updated or repainted, while the refreshed logo is expected to be introduced from 2018.

This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into a light grey base livery. Service changes taking place from 28th January 2018 will see the introduction of a new 26 service to "The Crusader" brand: there will be more journeys to Newcastle, with buses between Newcastle and Jarrow now running up to every 10 minutes on Monday-Saturday daytimes, and every 15 minutes on Sunday daytimes. Between Jarrow and South Shields, journeys will run every 20 minutes as service 27 on the current route via Tyne Dock, and every 20 minutes as service 26 via Primrose, South Leam and South Tyneside Hospital, replacing this section of services 88 and 88A. This vehicle, which carries a two-tone green and yellow base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Representing an investment of approximately £4.3 million, this batch of vehicles have been ordered to upgrade "Angel" service 21, which is currently allocated Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5LHs, partially funded by a grant of £1,119,235 in Round 3 of the Green Bus Fund in 2012. These vehicles feature the latest technology, and are fitted with the third generation of Wrightbus' Micro-Hybrid system. The entry into service of the Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles at Percy Main on "Coaster" services 1/1A will allow the Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity vehicles currently allocated to these routes to be displaced elsewhere. The majority are planned to be cascaded to "Blue Arrow" service 11, providing an upgraded allocation on this route and allowing the withdrawal of the branded Scania L94UB/Wright Solar allocation, while the others are being distributed among Percy Main, Stanley and Washington, for various purposes. Having incurred defects uneconomical to repair, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Deptford Depot. Originally intended to be retained and re-allocated to service 35 (Low Moorsley - Boldon Cinema) in line with service changes effective 28th January 2018 due to having exhaust modifications undertaken bringing the service up to a 'Euro 5' engine rating, the Eminox SCRT exhaust will be transferred to Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 5202 (NK54 NUV).
