This vehicle has received "Sapphire" branding, with sub-branding for services X21/X22 (Newbiggin - Ashington - Newcastle). This batch of vehicles is the first in the region to receive the new "Sapphire" branding, which is currently being rolled out across the Arriva UK Group.
This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into a light grey base livery. The shade of paint is a different colour to the silver previously used on "The Crusader" service 27, with the company moving away from metallic paint colours in favour of standard solid colours, which are easier to maintain and colour-match when panels are damaged and need to be changed. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot prior to allocation to Riverside Depot.
This vehicle, which carries a light red base livery, has arrived into the Go North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Manufactured by Wrightbus in Northern Ireland, this batch of vehicles feature the latest Euro 6 Micro-Hybrid engines with the cleanest vehicle emissions standards. Unlike previous examples in the fleet, they therefore feature a Wrightbus grille on the rear bonnet, providing additional air circulation. This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.

This vehicle has entered service at Deptford Depot on "Black Cats" services 2/2A (Silksworth - Washington) and 39 (Doxford Park - Pennywell). The Optare Versas currently allocated to services 2/2A are in line to be cascaded to another depot, whilst the Scania L94s currently allocated to service 39 are in line to cascade to services 38 and 61 at Deptford.
Having previously carried "TEN" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a dark green base livery. As part of ongoing improvements to services on the Tyne Valley, Go North East will re-brand its "TEN" 10/10A/10B/10X services as "Tyne Valley Ten" on a green base livery, moving away from the silver livery which the vehicles allocated to these services have carried since 2008. The new brand is designed to represent the picturesque Tyne Valley corridor and promotes the frequent buses to Metrocentre and Newcastle which the "TEN" group of services provide, up to every 10 minutes. In line with the entry into service of new Wright Streetlites on "Black Cats" service 39, the Wright Solar bodied Scania L94s previously allocated to this service have cascaded to service 61. This service has recently seen a temporary allocation of "See it, Do it, Sunderland" branded Mercedes Citaros, following the transfer of the operation of this service to Chester-le-Street, but are now gradually being replaced by the branded Scania L94s. Acting as direct replacements for the Optare Solos currently allocated to these services, the displaced minibuses are expected to cascade to Blyth Depot in order to allow for the withdrawal of the Mini Pointer Darts allocated to service 1.

"Black Cats" is the new brand identity being introduced to encompass a variety of different frequent services in and around the city of Sunderland, promoting the cheap and competitively priced day and weekly tickets available for travel in the city (£3.65 for a day ticket, and £12.15 for a weekly ticket).
This vehicle has gained private cherished registration mark 524 FUP (previously held by Dennis Trident/East Lancs Lolyne 3867, which received its original registration prior to disposal). This vehicle's original registration, YN55 NFC, has now been held on retention.
