July 2017 Go North East Having previously carried "TEN" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a dark green base livery. As part of ongoing improvements to services on the Tyne Valley, Go North East will re-brand its "TEN" 10/10A/10B/10X services as "Tyne Valley Ten" on a green base livery, moving away from the silver livery which the vehicles allocated to these services have carried since 2008. The new brand is designed to represent the picturesque Tyne Valley corridor and promotes the frequent buses to Metrocentre and Newcastle which the "TEN" group of services provide, up to every 10 minutes. July 2017 Go North East In line with the entry into service of new Wright Streetlites on "Black Cats" service 39, the Wright Solar bodied Scania L94s previously allocated to this service have cascaded to service 61. This service has recently seen a temporary allocation of "See it, Do it, Sunderland" branded Mercedes Citaros, following the transfer of the operation of this service to Chester-le-Street, but are now gradually being replaced by the branded Scania L94s. This vehicle has now been temporarily withdrawn from service at Deptford Depot, where it will undergo exhaust and cooling system modifications, prior to being released for internal refurbishment and repaint at Bus & Coach World,... see more

"Black Cats" is the new brand identity being introduced to encompass a variety of different frequent services in and around the city of Sunderland, promoting the cheap and competitively priced day and weekly tickets available for travel in the city (£3.65 for a day ticket, and £12.15 for a weekly ticket).

July 2017 Arriva North East This vehicle, which carries a two-tone blue base livery, has arrived into the Arriva North East fleet. It is currently being prepared for service at Ashington Depot. Representing an investment of approximately £2.9m, this batch of vehicles have been ordered to replace the older ADL Enviro400s currently allocated to "Sapphire" services X21/X22 (Newbiggin - Ashington - Newcastle). Internally; they feature Esteban Civic V3 seating complete with e-leather, free Wi-Fi, 'Next Stop' audio-visual announcements and USB charging points.

At Riverside; this vehicle should act as a spare vehicle for services allocated Optare Versas which do not have any premium features such as Wi-Fi and Next Stop Announcements (such as services 67/69 and 88/88A).
