As a result of network revisions in Newcastle which saw a total PVR reduction of 14 vehicles (6 at Slatyford and 8 at Walkergate), this vehicle has moved from Slatyford to Slatyford (Reserve). Although shown in a reserve capacity, this vehicle is currently long-term VOR. Service 100 was revised to operate a reduced frequency reducing the PVR by 1 (to 4 vehicles), with the allocation being made up of three branded MAN 18.240LF/ADL Enviro 300 and one MAN 18.220LF/Transbus ALX300 vehicle until the repairs of the ADL Enviro 300s are completed.
Prior to returning to service at Riverside Depot; this vehicle has received "Citylink" branding, with sub-branding for service 57. The livery design has been slightly revised in line with the new features being available on the bus, and the cant rail has been revised to show the standardised design, with the text showing the words "Buses run early til late • Into the heart of the city up to every 20 minutes".
This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into a plain blue base livery. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot prior to allocation to Riverside Depot.
This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.
This vehicle has received "The Blaydon Racer" branding. "The Blaydon Racer" is the new brand name for services 12/12A (Newcastle - Winlaton), which were previously branded as "Toon Link". The brand name recognises the famous Geordie folk song written in the 19th century by Geordie Ridley, in a style deriving from music hall, containing references to Scotswood Road, which services 12/12A serve on their route.
To avoid the cost of preparing this vehicle for annual PSV test, and to better utilise the gearbox from this vehicle in Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 4989 (YN51 MKV), this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Deptford Depot, and will be sold for scrap. It will be replaced in the fleet at Deptford once cascades commence, as a result of the entry into service of 18 brand new Wright Streetlite vehicles due for delivery in June.
This vehicle has moved from Blyth to Blyth (Under Repair), whilst being refurbished and repainted to "MAX" specification. It is thought that "Coastliner" services 306/308 are both being upgraded to "MAX" specification. The existing Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 allocation will be retained on service 308, but service 306 will be revised to operate with VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 vehicles, with the existing "Coastliner" branded Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid allocation deployed elsewhere.
Having previously carried "SimpliCity" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain blue base livery. From Saturday 3rd June 2017, the operation of "See it, Do it, Sunderland" service 36 will transfer from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street. As Chester-le-Street do not have any Mercedes Citaros at the moment; service 36 will instead be allocated Optare Versas in a new blue base livery (albeit with amendments to the branding), which will standardise the vehicle types at each depot.
