Ahead of the entry into service of Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 691 (YJ13 HNW) at Peterlee Depot on the new "Wear Xpress" X6/X7 services, this vehicle has transferred from Peterlee Depot to Deptford. At Deptford, this vehicle and the others in its batch which were previously allocated to "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7, will be allocated to service 9 (Sunderland - Jarrow - North Shields), displacing some of the Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles currently allocated to the service.
This vehicle has been sold to Ensign Bus Co., Purfleet, and is currently in storage at Marden Commercials, who repaint buses on behalf of Ensign Bus Co.

Since the withdrawal of Oxfordshire County Council subsidies on 20th July 2016, Thames Travel has been operating the Bicester Town bus services 22 and 23 on a commercial basis. Originally fitted with Icomera free customer Wi-Fi to allow customers on "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7 to surf the web on the go, this vehicle has now had the free Wi-Fi equipment removed. Recent service changes saw this vehicle repainted ahead of being deployed on another service, with the recently acquired former Thames Travel Optare Solo SR M890 vehicles 691 - 694 taking the place of Mercedes Citaros 5333 - 5336 on this corridor, where the free Wi-Fi equipment will instead be allocated to.

This batch of vehicles are Euro 6 specification and feature high-back orange and blue Lazzereini e-leather seating. The batch are also eqipped with free passenger Wi-Fi as well as USB power sockets.

This vehicle has been treated to a partial repaint into Go North East's new corporate livery. The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. It is thought that further vinyls will be added at a later date, in order to reflect the quality and customer values of Go North East.
