This vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Percy Main. At Percy Main; this vehicle will allow for the disposal of a Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown vehicle, presently allocated to Miscellaneous Works services on weekdays and acting as a primary spare vehicle for "Blue Arrow" service 11 on Saturdays.
Prior to entering service in the region, this vehicle has received route branding for service 100 (Newcastle City Centre - Metrocentre). It is thought that this vehicle, and the others in its batch, will replace the Dennis Enviro 300/Alexander Enviro 300 vehicles currently allocated to the 100 service, which will cascade to Stockton Depot to replace the older MAN 18.220LF/Transbus ALX300 vehicles there.
Following trials on "Angel" service 21 at Chester-le-Street Depot; this vehicle has now transferred to Riverside, where it will undergo a similar four week trial on "TEN" service 10.
Following the arrival of Optare MetroDecker demonstrator 9099 (YJ16 DFG) at Riverside Depot; this vehicle has transferred to Chester-le-Street Depot, acting as a replacement for Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 6034 (V334 LGC) which was recently withdrawn having sustained defects uneconomical to repair.
Originally fitted with Icomera free customer Wi-Fi to allow customers on "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7 to surf the web on the go, this vehicle has now had the free Wi-Fi equipment removed. Upcoming service changes will see the this vehicle repainted and deployed on another service, with the recently acquired former Thames Travel Optare Solo SR M890 vehicles 691 - 694 taking the place of Mercedes Citaros 5333 - 5336 on this corridor, where the free Wi-Fi equipment will instead be allocated to.

Since the withdrawal of Oxfordshire County Council subsidies on 20th July 2016, Thames Travel has been operating the Bicester Town bus services 22 and 23 on a commercial basis. These services run at a loss of approximately £4,500 per week and therefore this decision was a temporary arrangement, while Thames Travel continued discussions with several local stakeholders to pool existing finances and resources to safeguard the longer term future of the services.
