Ahead of upcoming service changes which will see "Wear Tees Xpress" service X7 revised to operate between Sunderland and Peterlee only (with the link between Peterlee and Station Town being retained by a revised "indiGo" 202 service and the link between Station Town and Middlesbrough being withdrawn completely), this vehicle has been repainted into Go North East's new corporate livery. Following repaint; this vehicle has transferred from Slatyford Depot to Stockton, albeit presently in a reserve capacity. The allocation of this vehicle to Stockton Depot is believed to allow for the withdrawal of older MAN 18.220LF/Transbus ALX300 vehicles in Stockton's fleet.
Having previously been allocated to Stagecoach East Scotland's Dunfermline Depot, this vehicle has been acquired by Stagecoach North East and is currently undergoing preparation for service prior to entering service at Sunderland's Wheatsheaf Depot. It is thought that this vehicle, and the other two of its type to be acquired by the North East division, will be allocated to service X24, which is a new express service operating between Sunderland and Newcastle, due to commence in January 2017. Following the entry into service of the Scania K340EB/Caetano Levante coaches at Hexham Depot, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Hexham. It is subject to be reinstated, when required, by the Driver Training school at Riverside.
