The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. It is thought that further vinyls will be added at a later date, in order to reflect the quality and customer values of Go North East.

November 2016 Go North East Photograph by This Christmas, Theatre Royal panto audiences are invited to join the comedy trio of Danny Adams, Clive Webb and Chris Hayward at the most magical pantomime of them all, Cinderella. As part of a partnership between Go North East and Theatre Royal, Go North East has applied a special livery to this vehicle to promote the pantomime. This bus is the dedicated spare vehicle for "Crusader" service 27, featuring Wi-Fi like the branded allocation. "Crusader" service 27 operates between South Shields and Newcastle City Centre: the terminus of the route is situated on Market Street West, just a short walk away from the Theatre Royal where the Cinderella pantomime performances are... see more
November 2016 Arriva North East Photograph by Arriva North East has teamed up with Stagecoach, Northumberland County Council and Cumbria County Council to bring customers a brand new and improved 685 service between Newcastle, Corbridge, Hexham, Haltwhistle, Brampton and Carlisle. As part of the improvements to service 685; a new brand (Cross Pennine) has been designed by Best Impressions, which this vehicle has now gained following repaint. It has also been refurbished internally with the leather seats seats featuring the Cross Pennine logo, and it has also been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi as well as USB power sockets.

November 2016 Stagecoach North East Prior to re-allocation to Stockton Depot, this vehicle has been repainted into Stagecoach's corporate livery.
November 2016 Go North East Photograph by Prior to entering service, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain red base livery. It has been repainted into the same shade of red which is used on the Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles allocated to service 39 at Deptford, as well as the new Optare Solo SR M925/Optare vehicles allocated to service 33 at Deptford. It is thought that this vehicle will join them on service 238, and branded under the same network identity, once prepared for service.
