Following use on the special Sunderland Airshow Park & Ride services, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Riverside. Nexus is to embark on a second programme of Metro track replacement on its lines in North Tyneside, which will involve a 15-day Major Line Closure between Benton and Monkseaton from Saturday 23rd July 2016 to Saturday 6th August 2016. Whilst the line is closed, a frequent replacement bus service, numbered 900, will operate from Four Lane Ends through the affected area, calling at all Metro stations on the route. To replace Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown 4909 (W909 RBB) which has been withdrawn having sustained defects uneconomical to repair, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Washington, following use on the special Sunderland Airshow Park & Ride services.
Having previously carried "Nexus" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain pink base livery. There are a number of changes to Go North East's services in the North Tyneside and surrounding areas, from 24th July 2016. Pheonix Coaches has been awarded with the contract to operate the entire Whitley Bay Town Network from both Go North East (W1/W1A and W3) and Arriva (59/359 and W2). Following the cascade of younger Optare Solo vehicles to Blyth as a consequence of the loss of Nexus contracts at Jesmond Depot, this vehicle has moved from Blyth to Blyth (Awaiting Disposal).
This vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Peterlee, where it will be allocated to the new 168 service (East Rainton - Easington Lane). The contract for this service commences Sunday 24th July 2016.
Following the entry into service of further ex-London Volvo B7TL/Alexander ALX400 vehicles at Belmont Depot, this vehicle has transferred from Belmont Depot to Blyth.
Ahead of the "Frequenta" brand being launched on service 63 at Redcar, this vehicle has been repainted into Arriva's corporate livery, minus the cowhorn. It has also been fitted with a 'Next Stop' audio-visual announcement system, as part of the "Frequenta" upgrade.
