Whilst similar Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown 4896 (V986 ETN) is undergoing PSV test, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Stanley, on temporary loan. 4896 (V986 ETN) is intended to replace 5160 (T810 CBW), which was withdrawn from service at Stanley last month. 5160 (T810 CBW) was originally retained at Stanley Depot, as a float/reserve vehicle, due to the early withdrawal of Dennis Trident/East Lancs Lolyne 3874 (W184 SCU) following accident damage.
This vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Crook, in a float/reserve capacity. It replaces "Pronto" branded Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 6021 (V921 KGF) in the fleet at Crook, which was withdrawn from service last month.
Following a depot fire, this vehicle has been transferred from Arriva North East's Darlington Depot to Yorkshire Tiger, providing cover for the vehicles which suffered fire damage and have been withdrawn from service.
Gateshead Council is closing High Street West from Monday 4th January to Tuesday 5th April 2016, between the junctions of Charles Street and Arthur Street. During this time, service X12 will run directly between Low Fell (The New Cannon Inn) and Newcastle, omitting Gateshead Interchange. Northbound buses (towards Newcastle) will follow their normal route to Low Fell, then operate via Durham Road, the A167 and the Gateshead Highway to the Tyne Bridge. Southbound buses (towards Durham) will follow their normal route to the High Level Bridge, then operate via West Street, the A184 and Prince Consort Road to Low Fell. Although this vehicle does not comply with DDA / PSVAR regulations, it was (wrongly) allocated to service 81 at Redcar Depot on 02/01/2016. It has now moved from Redcar to Redcar (Awaiting Disposal).
This vehicle has been sold on from Ensign Bus Co., Purfleet, to Cambridge Bus and Coach, Swavesey, and has been repainted into their corporate livery as such.
