This vehicle has now been acquired by Go North East, where it has received fleet number 711. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot.
This vehicle has returned to service at Deptford Depot, acting as a corporate liveried spare vehicle for "Wear Xpress" service X5. When not required to operate "Wear Xpress" service X5, the preferred alternative services for this vehicle to be allocated to are service 9 (Sunderland - Jarrow - North Shields) or "See it, Do it, Sunderland" services 35/36 if one of the branded Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro vehicles are unfit for service.
Following the entry into service of new Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles on "Durham Diamond" service 16, this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service to be internally refurbished and repainted at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.

Transbus MPD/Transbus Mini Pointer 549 (NK53 TKD), which originally transferred to Chester-le-Street to operate a shuttle service due to a road closure in Belmont affecting "Prince Bishops" services 20/20A/X20 and "indiGo" services 204, 208 and 265, is unfit for service and as such this vehicle has transferred from Crook Depot to Chester-le-Street on temporary loan to operate the shuttle service instead.
This vehicle has been treated to a partial repaint into Go North East's new corporate livery. The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. This example carries the tagline "Recharge your batteries | Many of our buses have power sockets on board"
