Are you an oracle? If you read the comment that everyone is putting instead of pinning onto mine I mentioned the NW pulsars because they're coming to replace the temsas nothing to do with summer services RE: Arriva State of The Fleet - Mike_98 - 28 Mar 2025 Redcar are well enough capable of running the summer services right now. All their Deckers have been active in the last week with some even adventuring on 62's and 95's because the MMC's are all on the X93. The extra 3 X94 boards will just fine along with the Whitby Park & Ride. Lets be honest with it also. We all know Redcar tend to throw a capable Pulsar on the X94 at times and that will no doubt happen again this summer. Everyones acting like it's the end of the world is near xD RE: Arriva State of The Fleet - Mark66t - 28 Mar 2025 (28 Mar 2025, 4:38 pm)Mike_98 wrote Redcar are well enough capable of running the summer services right now. Aye that's fair, guess it'll be gone in May anyway since that's when I've heard the Evora's are due so makes sense having it there so they can get rid of it. Service 81 reverts to Minibus operation in the allocation sheet also. Service 95 showing as a single decker. I'd assume they're the replacements for the Temsa's that have gone. Don't disagree about sending anything else out though, to be fair. To be fair though the fleets at both Redcar and Stockton are appalling, they've literally got 4 buses between them which are newer than 10 year old and the vast majority of it is closer to 15 year old than 10 year old aswell. The Evora's as nice as they'll be won't change much either and now with the electric upgrade at Redcar being cancelled it's not looking good for either in the short term either. RE: Arriva State of The Fleet - Storx - 19 Apr 2025 Must say, have to give massive respect to Arriva today for using the opportunity to try and win customers back from the train, since it's not running this weekend, by being riddled with cancellations. It's almost like they want people using the train and it's at both depots aswell but Ashington and the X22, in particular, has been really bad today. Looks to me that 1 shift was missing on the X22 given the timings, with 4 buses out for most of the day (out of 5). Only 1 single trip on the X21 looked to be dropped too. All that said, I’m not sure why they’d be winning people back from the train? The train has been going 4 months now, anyone who was going to switch will have done so, and anyone who has switched isn’t going to go back to the bus because of engineering works on a BH weekend? RE: Arriva State of The Fleet - Storx - 20 Apr 2025 (19 Apr 2025, 7:38 pm)PH - BQA wrote Looks to me that 1 shift was missing on the X22 given the timings, with 4 buses out for most of the day (out of 5). Aye, it was Blyth where the other missing boards were at, looked like there was one missing board from the X7/X8/X10/X11 for most of the day and two missing boards on the 306/308 but obviously they're miles away from the train. Easily though, could be many people who switched to the train where it's not really the most convenient route but because of the reliability issues found it worthwhile because of having to leave earlier to counteract the fact the bus might not turn up. Using it once or twice this weekend could maybe make a few think it's not that bad, I'll give it a shot again. Cancellations is just going to confirm their opinion and they'll be straight back onto the train. It's noticeable how much busier the X7 is the past 2 days, it's had very poor loadings ever since the station opened. RE: Arriva State of The Fleet - Superman - 20 Apr 2025 Arriva were running the Northumberland Line rail replacement on Good Friday, so arguably they won everyone back on the day. I'm sure the value of the contract to run that was enough to cover any losses from the network. Sounds like a mix of the rail replacement and illness caused the issue yes from what I overheard the driver saying on the bus i was on yesterday when somebody was complaining. Interestingly, from what I've heard, Arriva seem happy with how things are looking with regards to the train. It might have changed travel patterns, but the customers are still there apparently. Hopefully it’s people new to public transport which will go some way to reduce traffic congestion. RE: Arriva State of The Fleet - Ryland - 26 Apr 2025 2841 has now apparently left redcar and gone to Northumbria? Is this the only one to leave redcar or are redcar to lose most of there solos? Soon to be surplus to requirements at Redcar anyway - 3051 has departed Heckmondwike for Redcar this afternoon. However, 2841 may still yet return south - it was, as of the last allocation sheet, due to become the new MFC Foundation bus replacing the Delta (although until recently, 2857 was earmarked for that role).
