Because I always a Top Class Team, Last Season I did a Mini League with my Brother and my Dad and a few of my Mates, I finished just over 500 Points clear Overall to whoever was 2nd.

That's fighting talk where I come from Tongue...

Your on, I am going to do my best to beat you in the PL dream team Big Grin

USA v Ghana should be decent, I think it is the 3rd time in succession they have played each other in a world cup

Doesn't look like that's going to happen now! Especially with Portugal down to ten men!

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - MrFozz - 16 Jun 2014

And 4-0 down [ANGRY FACE]

The impact on my points tally Will be minimal, I only have Ronaldo from Portugal my team

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - MrFozz - 17 Jun 2014

All going good, Team Cake way out in front, Multiple Scorgasms (great name) in second, me and Andreos are joint 7th and joint 2nd bottom with Scott propping us up, Brazil up tonight, hope they get me a few points

Germany thrashing of Portugal last night had a minimum effect on me as I only have Portuguese Player in my team (Ronaldo)

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - MrFozz - 17 Jun 2014

Not really relevant to the thread, but the Brazilian have some great names

Fred
Bernard
Hulk
Jo

Pedro for Spain and the wonderfully named Quim for Portugal (don't know if Quim plays anymore)

What about France's Rod Fanni, or a famous German striker that played in Euro 96? Big Grin

I forgot about the French Fanni...Was there once a famous piece of commentary that went something like "there playing like there 11 Kuntz out there" I know there was a similar funny commentary regarding Julian Dicks, I suppose if our German friend was playing, just the mention of his name would call for a childish giggle.

The Africans have some great names as well

Danger Fourpence
Christ Bongo
Ars Bandeet (Supposedly)

Our very own Norman Conquest and the greatly named 19th Century footballer/Referee Segar Bastard (I wonder if that is the origin of the terrace chat 'who is the bastard in black'

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Andreos1 - 17 Jun 2014

Marcelo - what a knacker.
Own goal on Thurs and tonight he throws himself to the ground when through on goal!

When does the transfer window open? Or can I just sack him?!

You wouldn't be saying that if he won the penalty I bet [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]...

I agree with you though, it would have been easier to put in the middle than going down as quick as a tarts knickers 😀

According to the scoring system, I have 14pts from the two matches so far today
https://m.dreamteamfc.com/worldcup/wcscoring/
5pts for a defender keeping a clean sheet (Luiz and Marcelo)
2pts for a midfielder keeping a clean sheet (Oscar and Hazard).

1st lot of points since Friday! Big Grin

Belgium didn't keep a clean sheet, they went behind to a penalty in the 1st half...

I should get points from Courtois, Marcelo and Gustavo

They've been appalling tonight - that decision by Casillas to punch the ball ultimately lost them the game.

I find it amusing how pundits and commentators are talking about this great new technology...The Foam to mark out free kicks...Technology, my arse...It is nothing more than a can of shaving foam [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Watching Chile tonight, was like watching me on PES or FIFA.
Except the real manager cost me two bonus points by not sticking Bosejour on for the last few mins.

Is there a transfer window in the game when the knockout rounds come about

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Rapidsnap - 18 Jun 2014

What do you call a spaniard in the knockout stages of the 2014 world cup?

The Referee.

Belgium 1-0 Russia

Belgium in last 16

RE: World Cup Fantasy Football - Adrian - 22 Jun 2014

I'm not a huge fan of the Sun's scoring system (or the paper for that matter). Maybe that's just because my keeper is Casillias though. Big Grin
