Voltra may not even have a future, once Ray Stenning and micro pub fan MG moves on, the new fella in charge of chronic loss making local disaster GNE may get rid of the utterly meaningless brand and have…buses on bus routes without names.

The new guy implemented Sapphire, Max and Frequenta during his time at Arriva, along with CrossCity, 135 and Orbits at GNW.
All Stenning liveries, so we haven't ditched him just yet.

Will be getting it's battery charged before an onward journey up to Edinburgh, this has happened previously with the McGill's Yutong E12's.

It’s the logical choice with the Q route trundling around Central Newcastle and soon to be Clean Air Zone, plus the Gosforth High Street corridor and Gosforth Air Quality Management Area.
However I do wonder if it was worth painting up the Versas into QuayCity livery for what, 18-20 months?
Next interesting thing will be weather the QuayCity name is retained (I think it should be), or if the route becomes Voltra.

What are the buses like inside, as it mentions a refurb, I haven't been on them for years and I can't remember if they got a refurb when they went on to the Q3.

Go North East red moquette seats, dark grey interior and QuayCity branded.
Looking forward to seeing the new Voltras on the QA/QB from September. Be good to see the 57 upgraded too.

Where are they going to be used? Do we know when in Sep the new yellow Voltras are going on the QA/QB?

With Martijn saying the Versas are gonna be for the 57. Would of make sense since they are Euro VI, Had an interior refurb and of course Tap on Tap off. But now Dan saying they are not.

Martijn said the following on said post "The next batch will go onto the Q3 (now Qa and Qb) and allow refurbished buses to be released to upgrade other routes such as the 57", at no point in that post does it confirm the Versa's will go onto the 57 only that refurbished buses in some form will be used on services such as the 57 in the future.

Contrary to what the daily posts on this forum suggest, the 58 does have loadings that warrant double-decks.

The Versas are more durable than you think,they managed the 58 fine since their arrival in 2013,it'll just be old age as to why they brokedown,and the heat wouldnt of helped,you have to remember the route the 58 used to do,hills,and the Coast Road,if you did that for 3 (maybe 4) years,then later just Heworth-Newcastle would you not breakdown?
