Presumably, it won't be doing the 870 (forerunner to the present 689) between Hexham and Consett so I'm guessing it's doing a straight run down the A68 from Castleside. The only differences between the 10 & 602 - Via Crawcrook rather than Barmoor - Via Swalwell rather than Chainbridge Road - Also ran via A1 until either 2004 (the new interchange bridge) or Tridents replaced by B10BLEs RE: Northern Group Enthusiast Club - 60th anniversary trip - MurdnunoC - 18 Oct 2025 (Yesterday, 8:58 pm)L469 YVK wrote The only differences between the 10 & 602 I never asked, bur cheers anyway. Oh, and the original 602 (paired with the 601 which operated via Dilston instead of Corbridge) ran via Scotswood Road, before Metrocentre was a thing. Both were also briefly extended to Killingworth between October 1986 and Jan 1987 (this was at the same time both the 604/X64 were extended to North Shields via, what would become, the 356 route). RE: Northern Group Enthusiast Club - 60th anniversary trip - stagecoachbusdepot - 18 Oct 2025 An independent running an ex Stagecoach bus to celebrate Northern seems a bit odd |
