It's also worth remembering that this investment followed a period of almost four years during which not a single new vehicle was delivered to any of the SNE depots. Stagecoach's track record on investing in the NE hasn't always been so rosy - and the surge in numbers during the mid 00's probably reflects the total lack of investment around the turn of the century.

Can anyone confirm VUV's arrival? I can't until Monday at the earliest...
We have noted VUT/U/W/X, but not VUV.
Have we got a date for when the new E200's will enter service or are they waiting till all arrive?
33484 is on xx30 8s from town today.

I love the ALX200s... Great when one shows up!
33101 is actually my favorite bus in the Sunderland fleet, and I know she's loved by quite a few others too. I'm still hoping someone will preserve her!
I used to be quite the opposite. Absolutely hated them before.

I was the same with Stagecoach Dart's, i hate the Go North East ones but like the Stagecoach ones... How does that work?
Must be because the stagecoach ones are in better condition.
Speaking of 33101 - she's on 23s today. At town now heading for Thorney.
Newcastle's ALX200's are absolutely knack'd. Isn't any good ones over here! Sooner they're in Alphas the better....!
Bit of a topsy-turvy day in Newcastle for allocations today;
27507 allocated onto the 35 today whilst 27510 (IIRC) was X47,
39723 made the 62's,
33122 was on the X63, which looked like it was replaced by 10000 by tea time,
At least two "1" branded Tridents making the 22.
The next two E200s for Sunderland are due to be delivered on Wednesday.

19382 has been on the 18 today, which isn't something that happens a lot!

Was it on all day service? I know a decker provides the duplicate on the 0723 Walker to South Gosforth each day, before heading on to service 1 at four lane ends. But all day service on the 18 would be very unusual indeed !

Sunderland councils are to receive a further Green Bus funding for 23 new electric, hybrid or biomethane gas powered buses. Type not specified at this moment.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/green...re-funding
Must actually note, that operator isn't specified. One would assume this is SC due to the successful bid of their Gas Scanias. Time shall tell...
Omfg, thats great, i hope their hybrids
Are they defently for Stagecoach?

Call me an old cynic, but my experience of Government Press Releases is that they are full of spin and don't always mean what we think they mean on first reading. Sometimes such releases simply "re-announce" old news and I wonder whether these "23 buses" include the 17 Scanias about to be delivered. I hope not but ...

Paragraph from the link:
Speaking at industry event Coach and Bus Live today (2 October 2013) Transport Minister Norman Baker announced additional money will be made available to bring 55 more low carbon buses into service and to retro-fit dozens more to clean up their exhaust fumes.
Also i just opened a new document - go down to the bottom it says 40 gas buses for Sunderland
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/sy...-table.pdf
That might of just located where the extra 23 extra buses for Sunderland are going... 17 (from round 4) - 23 from extra funding = 40 =D
40+ 21 (New E200's) = 61 new buses for Sunderland
Does anyone know when these extra buses will be delivered, it seem's to of come out of no where.
