For all you, me and everyone else knows, plans could have changed
There could have been issues with the vehicle too.
Did anyone state that anything Richard Smiles said, needed to be taken with a pinch of salt, when one or two of your posts weren't totally correct or accurate?
I would be truly fascinated to know whether
"Mr Dross", is acquainted with Staff at Stagecoach & is in regular contact with them as I am on a Daily basis to verify information, before it is posted -
Answer - Probably Not.
Has
"Mr Dross" contributed detailed or useful information about Fleet Developments with Stagecoach North East -
Answer - No.
Can I from now on, when learning detailed & interesting developments about the Fleet etc. keep it to myself -
Answer I certainly can.

Dicky, Dicky, Dicky....
A bit taken aback there mind...
Not sure what to say?
Me, MrMoxy and at least one other member, have now felt the wrath of a Dicky Smiles rant!
You seem to have taken my post rather seriously - when all I did, was question yours...
Never mind, we are both grown adults eh?
what is 22050 doing at Sunderland depot has it been withdrawn or waiting to get a Repaint done to it. Regards Robin

I agree, i also think Newcastle will get new buses along with the X34
X34 won't get new buses unless pigs miraculously start to fly.

U never know :p
22474 has definitely gone the journey from slatyford to Stockton.
22040 is away from slatyford having extensive repair work carried out after its mishap a few weeks ago.
19158 is still off the road however should be back within a few weeks.
finally 22072 is still at slatyford but she currently has a brake issue
28038 is on the 16
Only seen one newer MAN on the 3 today, all the 13s ive seen has being gas.
T reg MAN out on the 3.
At least 3 gas buses parked around the back, with the withdrawn MAN's.
Training bus is out where all the buses park along with 1 more gas buses.

I'm sure 22666 (V166 DEF) is still in service as I seen it crossing the Wearmouth Bridge whilst at college, as this still has a rear "Southmoor Academy" advertisement.
It could of being, as the which left the depot had that advertisement on.
All the gas buses should be out or ready for service by Monday, this could be the day when all the MAN's get withdrawn.... they have all being taxed etc
Edit: Pic of 22666 seen on the 3 today:

All the Non DDA buses will go, Sunderland should/will only have 4 of 22072--82
22074 22075 and 22076 are now all at slatyford, 22475 should be going to Stockton tonight.
Hi AIG20. Is any of the 22's from Sunderland coming to South Shields. Regards Robin

It's unlikely.
South Shields are currently destined to be losing two of their 22xxx MAN 18.220LF/Alexander ALX300s next month (subject to confirmation - a possible PVR increase was mentioned), when they receive two brand new ADL E200s.

I remember talk of a PVR increase, but if this is happening within the next month or so then should something have appeared on VOSA by now?

Well if nothing has appeared on VOSA then it won't be anytime soon

I hate to ask, but do you have a source for this?

Brilliant indeed but you'll need to point me to the bit that says that the 2 new buses are to be used on these services.
(27 Jun 2014, 1:09 pm)AIG20 wrote [ -> ]Sorry, I should have said "maybe" instead of "will be" as I was only making an assumption of the service(s) that the new buses could be allocated to once they arrive and enter service.
I think its best just to wait and see what actually happens.
I believe they will be used in exactly the same way the current 36XXX buses are used

Thank you for the clarification. And your speculation seems quite reasonable so you may indeed be correct.
Cheers
David
I noticed today that the flip-dot display of 22028 displayed "30 Fawdon Park Road via Town Moor" instead of the usual "via Gosforth". I am guessing that this is an attempt to attract visitors of the Hoppings fair ground this week to use the service.
The LED display of 22021 (which followed 22028 on service 30) had the usual display of the service (not including the Town Moor).
(27 Jun 2014, 6:43 pm)AIG20 wrote [ -> ]The rear display of ADL E300 27734 has failed, as nothing shows up on it. I assume a either a loose cable may be the problem, or the circuit board may have failed.
I have seen a similar issue with a few of the other E300s. I suppose that it will be fixed in the coming few days

476,477 and 478 are getting sent to Stockton at some point after being replaced 22075, 076 and 077

I wondered when they would be sending 477 down so I can look forward to being choked with fumes locally as I was on the open topper up there recently!
22475 in service at Stockton today on service 12
Random question
How long does the gas buses last in service before they need to go back to the depot to be re-fueled?
