Will it be half hourly? Hopefully it will be successful, and will be able to continue after Christmas.

Not bad at all, might try it out when it starts.

I will on the first day and get a photo of it at Teesside Park. Wonder what route it will take especially through Teesside Park, possibly the same as the old R66?

Going to take a punt at via Thornaby Station rather than via Teesdale - quicker exit then.

My fear with that is there can often be traffic pulling off the A66 at the slip road for Teesside Park.

Yup exactly the same route as Leven used to operate.

as is 1524: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nebp2/2052...ateposted/
1530 was in process of receiving Sapphire branding for the 6 today. It will probably be out in service either tomorrow or Sunday.
Road closed between Bedlington (Chesters) and Choppington, presumably down to a RTA, causing delays to services 2, 57, and X22, as they will have to divert along Barrington Road and through Bedlington Station (nightmare for the 2...)
Is the 6 still receiving the enviro's?

It's got Pulsars. There's been a few E200s on it, this week, but they'd need a heck of a lot of work to lift them to Sapphire specification as they have the seats that shall not be named.

ETA unless we're talking at cross purposes and oyu mean E400s?

The E200s are pretty much sapphire spec...they have wifi, plug sockets and i think the right seating (although i could be wrong?)

Think it's the same, if not similar, leather seating they have fitted.

The E200's have e-leather seating but it is a different sort of seat to those used in most Sapphire buses, they are similar to Urban90's seats and those used in the Tesma's. They do indeed have WiFi and charging points.

Not the same as the one I caught on the 64, the other week, then. They had the fabric versions. (Noticed today that Scarlet Band's E200s have actual Urban 90s. My back still hasn't forgiven me.)

Scrap that - I misremembered - big'un said they were e-leather.

Yes, Sorry E400's

In which case, yes, the 6 will be receiving Enviros 7519-7521 from Ashington after they have been refurbished.
Affecting not just the North East, but all of the bus side (except London).......looks like big changes in personnel

Seems a little bit ruthless.

I bet morale amongst senior staff is really high, this weekend. Dodgy

This is what the interior looks like on the E200's used on service 64. https://flic.kr/p/qkUdHh

So quite a long way off the sapphire e-leather seats. I think Frequenta would be just right for them.

64 would be an ideal route for the Frequenta branding. Although I still think the 64 needs bigger/more buses especially between Framwellgate Moor and Durham City Centre as the New College students and Framwellgate school kids can totally fill an E200 and can often leave people behind. Went through Framwellgate Moor yesterday afternoon and as ever there was a large amount of New College students getting on the X12 at the stop the 64 uses.

Ugh, yep. And those seats behind the barrier towards the back have nowhere to put even a petite size 6 foot on the aisle side.

The back seats are especially bad, I had one on the 56 recently and went to the back and had to sit in the middle seat as I couldn't sit comfortably because of the lacking of space in the other four seats.

The best seats for legroom are the second to back row, next to the fire door. We sat there on the way home on the 58, this afternoon. Room to put bags down and for big'un to stretch his ever growing legs out periodically.

Was so annoyed when two people sat in those seats when I got on the 85 in Barnard Castle the other week! Felt the people in the row in front were too close to me as the seats have that small of a gap.

I wonder if they will sell off their entire bus division at some point. Huh
