I've heard rumours of the getting them and their being maintained either by Redcar or Durham but nothing seems to be happening for the time being. Wouldn't it be easier to build a pit at Stockton?!

If they move roof up a bit they be fine in stockton

They've only just put a new roof on. I think the beams are the problem.

Stockton get deckers, send them to darlington for maintenance? Wouldn't it be easier to take them to darlington than Redcar or Durham?
New Service WW1
Ashington Bus Station - Woodhorn Museum Weeping Window exhibition 

September 12th until November 1st - Woodhorn Museum (The Poppies: Weeping Window) WW1 

Mondays to Fridays (from 26th October to 30th October 2015) 
Saturdays (from 12th September to 31st October 2015) 
Sundays (from 13th September to 1st November 2015) 

Ashington Bus Station E...1000 then 00 30 until 1700
Woodhorn Museum..........1015 then 15 45 until 1715
Ashington Bus Station E....1030 then 30 00 until 1730


Service will be operated by a 29-seat midibus, substituted by a 74-seat double-deck if necessary to meet demand
Buses will run via Woodhorn Road, the A197 and the A189 in both directions, observing all stops along the route
Our normal range of tickets will be valid, including North East Explorers and English National OAP/Disabled Concession Passes
The adult single and return fares between Ashington and Woodhorn Museum will be £1.50 and £2.60 respectively. Child fares (for anyone aged 5-13) will be £0.80 and £1.40 

Service is supported by Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland County Council.

6 and 2 3s Redcar/Darlington I would have thought. Redcar should have spare capacity losing the summer 93s!

Yup 1417 too and 1422 is the latest one to be done... 1421 has had both lower sides fully repainted but not got the darker skirt for some reason.
Noticed today Pulsar 1415 is now in plain max livery having lost its branding for X12

More repeats on here than the BBC!
I had a trip on the new X20 between Warkworth and Alnwick this afternoon. 7478 turned up in Warkworth as a passenger free zone, 2 pass holders got on at Alnmouth Station, but that was it. Judging from the drivers reaction when I got on its been a pretty sparse first week for passengers.

The timetables at the stops appear to have been updated, but not Alnwick bus station. When the bus got there the driver didn't know which stand to use and resorted to asking me. I didn't have a clue either. :s At least there were a few passengers loitering in Alnwick bus station who got on for the return trip.

The bus that I used on Wednesday (0915 from Ashington) had 2 passengers on at arrival. We gathered 5 by Alnwick. 

The bus should use stand 3, there is a list in the portacabin at the bus station but he mustn't have read it...  Rolleyes Dodgy
These reported passenger numbers are probably why the 420 was withdrawn... 

I've seen half decent usage of the 43 through Bedlington towards Morpeth and Cramlington this week, on a brighter note

It's early days, I'm sure once word gets round it'll be well used. Should give an alternative to overcrowding the X15 and X18 for key places. Giving a direct link from Ashington to Alnwick which hasn't existed for a while will take time to pick up.

On the subject of growth, I got an X21 run today that I've got every day for the past few years (during school time), and it was the busiest I've ever seen it, pretty much full downstairs, with a canny few upstairs (not even a peak time journey),

The whole thing, in my opinion, hasn't been publicised well enough (in part, I think, to lack of service updates on buses),

Think people mainly aren't happy because Seghill only has an hourly service to Cramlington now.

And the X16 will be a canny one to ride because it'll have anything on knowing Jesmond.

I think they only made one Facebook post about the changes and it was about a month before the changes happened, felt they should have made far more publicity through social media about the changes.

I'm sure it will be too. As it's calling at Alnmouth Station it means there's a half hourly frequency between there and Alnwick which makes getting the train then catching the bus to Alnwick more attractive too. I do think it needs more publicity though to help spread the word. And Alnwick bus station needs a timetable and signage (though leaving it a fortnight until the X18 timetable goes back into winter mode could be sensible).

well i think to make it more attractive they should make more trains stop at alnmouth because uses stopping there during the day is pointless
