The 'places served' for service 40, according to Go North East's website is:
Wallsend - Station Road - High Farm - Battle Hill Drive - Hadrian Park - Howdon - Roshill - Wallsend
As such, the destinations are as follows:
40 Hadrian Park
via Station Road - High Farm - Battle Hill Drive
40 Wallsend
via Howdon - Rosehill
41 Hadrian Park
via Rosehill - Howdon
41 Wallsend
via Battle Hill Drive - High Farm - Station Road
Departing Wallsend, the driver should show 'Hadrian Park', and, upon arrival at Hadrian Park, the destination should be changed to 'Wallsend'.
Quick enough to notice an update on our News page, but I think you missed the fact that the brand logos have been updated on Go North East's website?

Was just about to post it
I check the news every morning as it seems to say... "posted 10 hours ago".... lol
Edit: GNE still need to get remove the old Tynedale Links timetables from the site....

Interesting......Northern is actually classed as a brand.
Edit: Still think they should of brought back West Durham Swift

Yes because that's the brand name... GNE are getting rid of the cooperate version of "Northern" and replacing it with "Go North East".
Sure its being said before.

My point was that Northern is actually becoming a stand alone brand, instead of being amalgamated into the new GNEcorporate livery. Like I said, would of been better if they brough back the WDS

It looked great on the omni's, not too sure if it would suit the omnidekkas.
Ya never know it may re-emerge in the future......

Think West Durham Swift could have been brought up to date in the style of Red Kite, which looks good on Streetlites and Double Deck B9s, The image of a Swift (bird) in flight, similarly placed on rear panel. (X30/X31 have no connection/synergy with other Toonlink services 11/12 or routes on that corridor)
X70/X71 could also have been included in this new "Swift service to Newcastle" (as these services were part of the original WDS having a similar routing from Sunniside)
"New Northern" Service 6 would have looked good similarly branded as "Magpie" with imagery of a Magpie in flight on rear quarter panel, following Red Kite (and peoposed "Swift" theme)
"Magpie" obviously has associations with Newcastle (Destination) but also (the birds) attraction to Diamonds (service with which it connects - having been the Northern part of the old Diamond service) - Maybe a lot more marketing could play on these themes?
All these "Bird in flight" brands would have synergy of connecting North West Durham towns with Newcastle.
p.s. - I notice from changes to Stanley services, the section of A692 from Pickering Nook Lights to Top Croookgate bank, passing The Hobson Hotel/Golf Course is no longer served (previously by 44 Diamond, which will in future be Northern 6 routed via Burnopfield)

Sorry if ive missed something but the whole point of the new fleet news system is so that each individual news item doesn't need to be posted into the thread with the main one so the fleet lists can be updated simultaneously.
Dan might aswell just start posting each individual news item in this thread again if it will end up here anyway.

It is but people might as well stop posting when buses have been branded to, as its on the news to?

As has 5290.
I only seem to be seeing the orange diamonds though. Only seen the back of a Durham Diamond and photos of them. Saw 5294 and 5296 today.

That piece of news wasnt on the page for me when i posted. Therefore, i can't be held responsible for contradicting myself.
EDIT: For me it was 4940 then 4843 being sold. The news about 4896/4903, 5285/5290 was not there - is now though.

When we asked for feedback about the old news section, a number of you complained about the duplication of information (what had already been posted on the forum was getting regurgitated on the news section).
As I said last week, the idea behind the new system is that it is "live": it is updated as and when things occur. The problem we used to have is that I used to note every single repaint on the forum, and it would only ever attract further discussion every once in a while (primarily when a new batch of vehicles were undergoing repaint into a different colour). I've no problem with news being copied across onto the forum, but only if it is noteworthy and if it will attract further discussion. What's the point in duplicating information, if you're just going to be talking to yourself?
If an item of news has not yet been posted to the news page, then sure, feel free to note it on the forum or PM me with the details. I wasn't aware that further Mercedes Citaros had been branded until Robert posted it, so the news/fleet lists wouldn't have been updated if he hadn't done so. The only news item that had been posted prior to 16:00 was 4940's repaint, which was updated at about 6am this morning...

Dan when changes occur on the 25th October will you be making a post of the permanent odd workings on the routes, transfers etc? (such as the tridents getting withdrawn or a scania moving due to changes... u get my drift....).
Edit: Just with so many changes the news will clog up and no doubt some one will miss it!.

I haven't seen the brand yet but i'm at college tomorrow so might see it in Newcastle.
Noticed that GNE have 5293 down as "Durham Diamond" on their PDF - which is a mistake.
Also only 5 single door B10's remain - which need to be converted to DDA.
