I'm sure you'd be very attentive!
(05 May 2016, 6:56 pm)Dan wrote [ -> ]Aye, we've heard the stories about how it takes nine years to restore a bus...

Surely which livery it is going to be restored into is limited to two choices... Transit livery or Stagecoach Stripes. I will go with the former.

37 shouldn't take as long as 106 took nor the length of time expected once 544 is due to take when the group gets round to it (we have another project to do before that). The majority of the work required on 37 is cosmetic such as a full re-panel and cab area work.

Livery isn't the subject of discussion - when complete, 37 will be in Transit livery as it was when delivered nearly 22 years ago. The tag line of the 'Transit' fleetnames however is one that will not be know until 37 is ready.

That is broadly all I can discuss - the rest you can wait and see when she is ready in a few years time (hopefully).
Davie. Why not keep 34401 and send 34611 plus 22067&22070 away to find a new home. Regards Robin

Not much else to know.

Maybe 34401 isn't in a good condition?

Is hartlepool getting any new buses this year?

No, Though buses transferred in from other depots could happen.
Hi when stagecoach Newcastle new buses due to come. And will there stagecoach on teesside get more slx 300 to replace deckers when the school run stop.
Oh Dear! It seems the Ex Scotland ADL E400s aren't coping very well on the X34... - https://www.flickr.com/photos/57722398@N03/26232897124/

I assume that the Pointer Dart, looking more ready for the scrapyard, is 34401. I won't be surprised if it is being used for "component recovery" or for training purposes.

The E400 had a flat tyre, according to someone on Facebook.

I think it would be wrong to make the judgement that they arent coping on a route because 1 has had to be towed back to the depot for whatever reason. If you used that logic, you could argue that the buses on every single route aren't coping because the vehicles break down.

The E400MMCs are said to be split between both depots for the 62/63 (and presumably, the X63 board at Walkergate that works onto the evening 62/63) hence the change on the order list thread to just 'Newcastle'.

The E200MMCs are the full-length version, so they are unlikely to be used on the 32/32A and 35.

Did not know that thank you what will happen to the older E400 will some of them go to Stockton

There is a rumour 15 will move to Stockton with the other 7 remaining at newcastle with the e400s moving to Stockton it could displace 24101-15 to slatyford allowing the withdrawal of further alx300s
This is just a rumour but i hope its true.
The rumours down here are 8 E400s to Stockton. Nothing about our MAN E300s leaving - more likely some of our MAN ALX300 departing.
Do we think that 27506 to 27510 will be replaced on the 100 this year by the new E200MMCs, with 27506 to 27510 perhaps transferring to Sunderland for Service 12, replacing ALX300s 22079 to 22082 on there., with 1 spare.

The 12 should be using gas buses from the 5th June due to changes.

No - the reason why 27506-10 have remained on service 100 since new is due to their high capacity for a single deck.

Those 54 reges are still good to go
Be a shame if they get withdrawn

Wouldn't be surprised if some of these ALX300 MAN's become the next batch of training vehicles. Although B10M's would run for years and years...

i guess the enviro 400 stockton get will be either 07 reg or 57reg but will be good to see E400s in stockton
But Stockton won't need any Enviro 400's soon, don't see the point in sending loads to Stockton just for them to sit in the depot and only used once a day.

They should go on a service which needs them, mostly Newcastle services.

Even the E1/2/6 but it seems unlikely as they're only really busy during Spring/Summer.

Stockton don't have any school services come September. The E400s are said to be for front-line services that require additional capacity on journeys.
