X46 was still a good route, like the X70 they have been running for a long time and always been dedicated!
2 Buses to Metro from Consett with the latest bus every 30 minutes is gonna cause a little chaos.
Currently was 4 now down to 2
for Newcastle Buses was 6 now down to 3

Yep, X45 every 30 mins was only done (imo) to either allow the Streetdecks to go onto X1/X21. And to make sure there was enough E400 MMC for the rest of the services.
How many E400 MMC are free now? Really PVR X70 is 2.

Streetdecks on the X21 will never happen again as a full time allocation, they just came off. Also 1 of the 2020 Streetdecks will be heading off to Washington for the X1.
I'm curious with the silly rumour of the Streetdecks and 400MMC's routes swapping at Consett

The Streetdeck's are leaving the X-Lines network at Consett, that's not a rumour. Dan confirmed it when the usual suggestion by someone for the 15th time on what's going where at Consett.
The X30/31/70/45 PVR is 1 less of the total of the Enviro 400 MMC's.

There has just been one on the X21 for 2 days.
Well where are they going then, the other 6.

And that X72 dont forget so PVR might be 2 or 3 less.
The Streetdecks leaving is a silly choice. If i was to think where they would go i would say Washington since the 50 is going full Double Decker allocation (finally at the right time).

The 50 already has a full double deck allocation (6301-7).

I messed up the numbers there was meant to be X30/31/71/72/46 whoops.
PVR's are off the top of my head
X30/X31 - 3
X45 - 5
X71/72 - 5
Washington have 6301 - 6307 for the 50 though. It's pretty much guesswork where the Streetdeck's are going though, either the 47/57/58/X21 are the only realistic options really but none of them really need them tbh.
Perhaps they are off to a more profitable arm of the esteemed Go Ahead Group….

Currently it's allocated a mix of 6301-7 and Streetlites, from tomorrow the 50 becomes standalone so should just be the deckers.
So what’s been painted and what’s moved depots overnight to accommodate the new changes. I’ve never know so many changes in the history of go north east apart from when the branding started
Some interesting changes in terms of vehicle workings this morning from the tracking on Bus Times:
The 0410 56 from Newcastle is worked by Riverside using a ‘Crusader’ B9 - which then works the 0559 27 from South Shields
The Sunday morning 47s from Blackhall Mill have reverted back to Riverside operation using ‘Tyne Valley Ten’ B9s working onto 10s in Newcastle.
So sad not to see the 69b this morning in the lovely tyne valley 10 livery. I miss you

Is it not:
- X30/X31/X45 - 8x
- X71/X72 - 5x
Given the very high spec interior of the StreetDecks and that an ex dealer stock vehicle is still making up the PVR of the X21, it would make sense allocating 6356-63 on there then B5TLs either going on the 47 or 58.
In fact, B5TLs on the 58 would match exact PVR and provide a slight capacity boost. 6334/35 as spares would then allow 6336/37 to go back to Consett. Riverside could then use 6099 on the X10 if needed.
@Dan are you in position to be able to confirm allocations or still work in progress?
X30 is Riverside operated on a Sunday now I think.

That's correct as it interworks from and onto the 6 in Stanley which in turn interworks with the 12.
It wouldn't surprise me later down the line with GNE winning the Sunday X15 contract if the X72 also gets thrown into that interworking pattern with the 6/12/X30.
At the moment, it appears that the Sunday X72 interworks with the X45.

If you look at Deptford.
You have one which do 5>24>61A, 60>35A.
It also appears that the 57&58 do interwork but with no particular pattern.

I don't get why people are saying Boost the Capacity of the 58 it doesn't need it. AT ALL. Tbf it would probs be more fuel efficent running Versa's on it, with it being every 12 mins in peak.
If the 58 gets a capacity upgrade, it only extra spare seats

It will need the extra capacity for Follingsby Amazon.

im pretty sure the current 30-40 extra seats will suffice
Anyone spotted QuayLinks yet? Hoping for Q then small A/small B.
It looks like some of the Ex Saltwell Park Streetlites have gone back on the 34 and 8319-28 will be on the 25 and 28. - a post by Dan on the North East Bus Enthusiasts page.
What's allocated to the 29?

29 Interworks with the 28 , so will be the same allocation

The 28/29 interwork so it'll be the same batch of Versa's.
Guessing that means all the 09 Versa's are withdrawn or should be on paper bar the few Euro 6 ones at Riverside.
The Quaylink QA this morning had a full sized Q and a superscript A.
Personally speaking, if GNE must use superscript text for letters, I'd have gone with a smaller Q and full sized A / B - but each to their own.
Not to re-labour the point, the bigger fish to fry is getting the numbers on the right side of the display to start with!

Ah right, was a daft question tbh haha.
Appears the 35A which terminates in Sunderland appears to Interwork with the 9 & Presumably 5/5A.
Bit strange that they are using Prince Bishops
I do feel bad the driver who is driving the 5/5A from 7:30 till 11:30

Ah fair enough then, Love the Streetdecks on the 50. Suit the route very well!
Does the X45 and 47 have a long layover at Consett on Sundays?
Surely it would be more efficient on Sundays for:
- X72 ran by Riverside interworking with 6/12/X30 >> would save fuel costs using a single decker
- 16B/47/X15/X45 interworking >> E400MMC would save fuel & maintenance costs over older B5LHs. Could be easily regulated at Consett with reliefs & new vehicle should there be any traffic issues ex Newcastle (i.e Matchdays) with most reliefs scheduled before heading to Durham.
- Short X15 interworking with 78
