About 0830 this morning I noticed 729 on the 700, looked quite cosy passenger wise with several people standing.
Are washington short of deckers, just that 689 is on the 50?
Saw a connections4 merc on this morning, too.
641 on the X5/X15 - bus was full before it even got out of Consett this morning.

Oops sorry, I couldn’t see a date & wrongly assumed it was recent.
Did the lesser spotted Angel Streetdeck actually operate the X39 this morning or is bustimes having fun?

If it did - assume it was a cover for one of the DFDS buses that normally operates it and it dipped off Metro replacements?

It did, it was the Riverside operated run that comes off the Q3

Photographic evidence or is just didnt happen!
2 Crusaders, 2 East Gateshead Riders, and 1 Tyne Valley Ten on the X21 today if tracking is to be believed.

Are we allowed to point out yet how ridiculous all of the brands are or is it still meant to be helping recover the business?

Although 6081 is double tracking on the 57, they're all otherwise likely to be true, I certainly drove past an EGR & a Crusader in Bishop Auckland this afternoon, 3943 was also allocated this morning but seemingly expired at Chester Moor around lunchtime.

Was same story yesterday with the same two East Gateshead Rider's being allocated - 6149 & 6153, along with Crusader's 6003 & 6051, plus corporate B9TL 6199.

No, we aren't! Gotta promote links for East Gateshead to the people of Bishop Auckland, I guess [emoji2369]
Some mackem soft fruit or other on the 50 today, in amongst the omnideckers and from what I've seen pootling up and down Dryburn road, the past few weeks, Consett depot has been turned into an old folks home.

Theres a peterlee purples solo on the 82 this morning. What should be allocated to the 21 given the streedeck issues?
5456 left passengers standing at cobalt bus stops as its operating the X39 afternoon runs .

They really make commuting by bus difficult. Ambassador Taxis is taking 3 disappointed colleagues home

Don't appear to have enough double deckers but have withdrawn all the Hybrids from Consett, with one clinging on still, and DFDS 20 year old buses running on X lines services.

Well son I’m not bothered if I’m allowed or not.

There’s nee sense in wasting cash on all these silly names they just need to give the punters what they want.

Turn up & leave on time for the right fare, provide a clean, warm & reliable bus.

It’s very rare on here you’ll read me sticking up for punters but..

They largely are not bothered what it says on the side or on the ticket, they’re too busy listening to their earphones with their head in their phone. They want contactless payment, they divvent even want to look at the driver never mind talk to the gadgie.
3941-43 always seem to expire whenever they go on routes which go on any sort of road over 30mph
I'm qurious, who decides what gets allocated to a route. What are the usuall allocations at Washington?

Officially, all sorts of factors are taken in to account when allocating a route.
This could be loads, the road network on the route, low branches and other external factors.
Internal factors could include driver sign-off, vehicle availability etc.

In reality, we know it's often the throw of a dice and a lucky dip.

Todays dice have the 16:45 50 ex Durham as Solo SR 686 (unless it gets swapped at the galleries), in what world would a minibus be acceptable on a peak service out of durham, instead of a double decker. It was cosy on 657 yesterday and that was about 11am ish.
According to bustimes 8803, 8809 and 5808 were on the 49/49a. Then 8809 went on to the 96.
Saw a versa on the 50 yesterday rammed and standing at about 1pm heading towards Durham
