I've literally posted that the E200s will be 3501-3528. It's not speculation.

I also can see the Kites will be 3001-3014 for the Midis and 5001-5007 for the full size singles.
It might be for somewhere else but are the new ADL E400MMC's coming now?

Just passed a brand new 26 plate heading North on the A19 near Sunderland in a darker blue similar to the Arriva livery. I know there's a new colour knocking around now.

The first of Blyth’s landed yesterday I believe - 7722 (YY26 FSS).
Whitby’s should also be due shortly.

I believe they hope to have these and the electric BYD's in service by mid June at latest.

I think Uncle Ray has been involved
Worth mentioning as I don’t think we’ve seen it confirmed anywhere (?) that the latest TVCA transport paper suggests Darlington will receive 54 electrics next year, which will ensure the depot is fully electrified.

Seeing branding from other regions including the new Streetdecks for Southend suggests route and/or network branding will be a decent part of Arriva going forwards.

Think everything on delivery now will be in the new darker blue - as should any refurbishments.
From photos I’ve seen however, these E400s have the same interior spec as the BYDs - the Sapphire e-leather trim but oddly with orange handrails.

I assume you mean the E200MMCs - nobody has definite dates for the delivery of those. Presently, only the 6 E400MMCs for Blyth and the 6 for Whitby are due presently.

I know but I’m saying that 5 more E400MMCs to be delivered to Redcar then that will be Redcars new E400MMCs delivered once the last 5 E400MMCs arrive then the E200MMCs will be next, yeah I agree with you I dunno when the new E200MMCs will arrive possibly during delivery of the E400MMCs aswell or probably after when the E400MMCs have been delivered to Redcar
I can quite make up my mind wether the Wright Kites look ugly or if they look good and its just the colour that makes them look ugly

Ugly, the proportion is just really off. They're nearly as tall as they are as long.

Very boxy.

It looks like someone just got a hacksaw to a streetdeck and chopped the top deck off and thought, 'that's good enough.'

Over the years there has been some good looking buses, also been some not so good looking buses, but this one is a bit of a stinker

Aye quite a few single decker electrics are the same. They seem to be designing buses but totally forgetting about the large battery pack on the roof and just sticking it on as an afterthought.

The Yutong's are just as bad imo. The E200MMC EV isn't too bad though as they've actually designed it as part of it.
Romers are blyths mmcs will be heading to Silverstone for the grandpix shuttles

Both those and the BYD deckers have fiveheads. Very oddly proportioned.

And, no, the all over plasticky blue does not help.

How many are Redcar getting? 6? Will they stay at Redcar or end up at Whitby for the X93? Would have been better for both depots to get their own batch of them.

6, for Whitby for X93s. Redcar don’t need any, they’ll have the 72 plates for the X94 which is quite new for something that only runs half the year! I assume they’ll probably end up as refurb floats next winter

Can't really disagree with that to be honest

Ah Redcar getting them 72 plates? 7578/9/80/81? I thought they’d go back to Ashington tbh. But maybe that’s why 7401-7406 are going to Ashington.

That’s not a bad allocation. Glad to see Arriva investing in the Redcar fleet.
I'm told that 7596 and 7597 are now destined for Redcar, to work two school Service 63/64/65 boards from September.

This will presumably mean some of the E200s will creep onto the X2/X3/62/28 etc also.

Are they the right height to go under Marton railways bridge
(28 May 2026, 7:36 pm)Ryland wrote [ -> ]Are they the right height to go under Marton railways bridge

Yes, the bridge is 14ft according to Google maps. The E400s will fit under that. The B9s won't.
