How do they work the dead mileage to Barley Mow though? Saying that Stanley must run dead for 7 miles from Stanley to Birtley but its incomparable to Phoenix 27 miles out from Blyth to Barley Mow
It'll go to North Shields for the 19, still a vast amount of dead mileage though!

I'd second that praise about the 333 driver - there's a lot to be said for a regular, and motivated, driver: knows his customers, delivers good service.
Phoenix will be providing 4 buses on Nexus contract work on Boxing Day 2013.

53A and 1 I think it is?

Definitely did the 53A last year. Was unsure of the other service, but VOSA should reveal all soon.
Service 1 between North Shields Ferry and Whitley Bay
Service 53 between North Shields Town and Cramlington
Slightly off topic, but they got a mention this morning for some PR stunt being carried out at Nissan today.
Apparently Pheonix have a small fleet of battery powered cars in operation.
Surprised no-one has mentioned this yet, but a new Optare Solo at Phoenix is
KX53SCZ
Also, Ashington service A2 and Blyth service B1 will no longer operate after 2nd February.

Phoneix seem to be getting quite a few contracts lately.
Currently sat on a 23 doing a changeover in Elisabeth ville
That's a hell of a run for a relief driver
Phoenix should have started the K1 / K2 today has anyone been out to see which bus they are using?
KY63VTG was on the Killingworth locals today (K1/K2), new at Phoneix from Stanley Coaches, photo courtesy of Ray Parnaby.

Must on loan from Dawsons Rentals as this was in their yard yesterday lunchtime! (still had Stanley logos on the back too...)
Mini Solo SR, ASDA Rider Solo and the white Solo all on the 17 tonight.
How many buses do phoenix have

I'd have suggested looking at Scott's fleetlist but they have tonnes of minibuses that haven't been accounted for because they don't see regular service work all too often.
Phoenix had a 53 reg Solo on the 17 last night, is this a new addition?

the 53 reg Optare Solo is M920 was doing the Chrisman runs on the 1
These have got two new 14 reg minibuses... Didn't bother id'ing as I would have got knocked over or stamped on by hundreds of 12 year old girls.
Another addition here is ex-Star Travel (and Arriva Yorkshire) Solo YJ59NND which has been numbered 904.

Does phoenix still have the Solo SR or has that gone back now
907 (MV07EXU) has been re-registered to A20OJD.
