phoenix should think about getting another double decker because the 30 does get quite busy at times and they could extent the 30 which i know might not happen.
I've been on every 30 run and I can confirm that it doesn't get busier than 5 people on the bus.
There was a council person on the bus today, with a survey. Boarding Point/Destination/Purpose of Journey/How Many Times a Week Used/Other Services Used/Other Comments
I wished I had mentioned a bus stop at the bottom of B&Q or at the Fox Cover...
KV02URY on the 30 today, didn't even know Phoenix had a double decker!

May have a ride up to Ashington for a photo of it.
Can anyone tell me where the 30 and Arriva buses are stopping?

30 stops in Ashington bus station stand C. There are signs on all stands with the routes and destinations.
@mb134: You're joking? Mentioned it about a million times

Seem as I don't believe a photo has been seen of this bus with Phoenix... (more shameless self promotion
)

That one was on the 333 the other week - was quite a shock to see a double decker on the 333!

Certainly strange seeing a double decker on a service that normally uses a much smaller bus, seemed a bit excessive on the 30 when I got this photo as it wasn't exactly busy!

That green Solo has probably been playing up again. Would like to see that double decker on the 17 sometime.

What if the other buses were replacing the Nexus Solo or on a private hire?
Does the green solo have bench seating?

Thanks, just I no none the other solos did, just checking
This morning was my first ride on the 30 since the NCC person was doing a survey, there have been some interesting changes...
- On arrival at North Seaton, the bus now stops and lays over in a lay-by opposite B&Q. This is what Arriva and certain Phoenix drivers have done already. The driver explained to me how he has to stop there now. I find a 15-minute layover on a route which then serves North Seaton Colliery a few moments later is a silly idea. The elderly who can't walk as much as 'able-bodied' people have to stay on the bus for 15 minutes to reach their destination.
- I almost missed the 30 as it pulled out of the layby, I flagged down the bus and the driver explained how silly it is how there isn't any stops and it would have been a long wait.
- Once I sat down, the floor was wet and a bleach smell was present. The bus had been cleaned while it had been in the layby. The bus would have only done that one round-trip before...
I think the 30 was fine as it was, despite my moans. What could have happened was a bus stop on the main road outside B&Q or the Fox Cover pub for people like me who would otherwise have to wait an hour for the next bus. There needs to be more bus stops in the industrial estate too.
Apparently they have 4 ALX400 B7TL's, 3 more than just the one sighted before (KV02URY)

I'm surprised they haven't wandered onto the 30. The next time I'm up in Blyth I'll have a look for their yard.

Near B&Ms I believe.
KV02 URY has received branding, while a brand new blue Transit minibus is on the 30 today.
KU02 YBP, same as KV02 URY was operating the 30 from 1000. Driver reports that there is two more unreported deckers, of the same type.
KU02 YBP carries Phoenix Coaches branding while KV02 URY carries Phoenix Taxis, Coaches and Buses branding.
KV02 USU is another ALX400, operating the 30 today. Carries Phoenix Taxis, Coaches and Buses branding.
KV02URX is currently on the 17. Departed Churchill Street at 2035.

I wondered how long it would take for one of those to appear on the 17. Going to try a ride on one of the evening ones next weekend possibly.
KS02URX is also fully branded up too.

Was that on the 17 too?
That livery is certainly more appealing on a Solo...
I meant KV, my head is all over the place atm.
