I'm racking my brains to think if these had leather seats and charging points.
The fleet is certainly improving - just need something to replace the Darts now though they are ok on the likes of the S1
It has a plug style door too, something I've never seen on a service bus before.
Them Versa has the 1 door on front like solooking 706 they have same seats has bluebirdsome with belts
The Versa's YJ13 HHU & YJ13 HHW are out in service on the 470, 473 & A1. The buses look very smart even to the point of members of the public commenting on them at Alnwick Bus Station.
PCL are doing special student tickets with a day or weekly available on the bus with the option of an annual ticket directly from PCL Travel.

I agree, very smart indeed

The rest of the Weaveaway subsidaries/brands are very similar.
It may be a Versa, but they certainly look appealing.
If I remember right, it was Weaveaway who upgraded the ex Arriva Cadets/Renowns a couple of years back.
Edit:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/je1791/28358299226/ it wasn't, apologies. Knew there was black on them and they were in the same neck of the woods.
Do PCL have ticket machines yet?

Versa I had today did, they are strange one's that I haven't seen before, so I don't know what they are called.

I got a ticket on a dart on the m1 once, I have never seen one like it before - i have no clue how they get the ticket rolls in as the machines look flat.

Sounds like the ones that I saw today, it's practically a screen and not much else with the ticket coming out of the side of the screen.

Like credit card reader sized machines? Some of the hotel shuttle buses at Stansted Airport have some of them, produce little tiny tickets. I'm not sure who the manufacturer is though.
Looked a little bit like this (was the closest I could find on Google):

Wasn't there discussion about PCL offering a Northumberland day ticket before? It certainly would be a good idea if there services run, for example alot of connections:
15/16: Connect at Rothbury with the M1
A1: Connects at Longframlington with the M1
470/473: Connect at Alnwick with the A1 and 15
M1: Connects at Morpeth with the T1 and S1 allowing further connections to Stannington and Whitehouse Farm.
Surely with a expanding network it sure wouldn't be a miss to introduce a day ticket for these routes.
An increase in the number of authorised vehicles has been granted to PCL Travel. They have also registered a base at Morpeth.

Or just another purchase?
It's a new purchase.

Oh PCL are going back in the minibus business again
A recent arrival for PCL is Volvo B12B/Caetano Enigma FJ55BXW. Seen parked up on an industrial estate in Alnwick this morning.
Are North East Explorer tickets still accepted on Routes 470/473? I know they were when Glen Valley had them, but has it changed?

Ticketer machines.
2006 reg Solo on 15 today, with diversions via Bridge on the Aln.
There has been timetable changes to services 470 and 473 with reductions in the A1 and M1 timetable. These were effective as of 6/11/17
Details on
Northumberland Council Site
The
Nexus Website also has all of the up to date timetables.

I heard they are losing 470 473
Basically looks like the A1 is going to run onto the M1 instead of the 470/473. I don't see the problem in withdrawing those journeys on the A1 as I can't see many using them when there is no return bus. But I don't see the point in operating the M1 at all after those changes.

I would of thought be better if ran M1 so works onto 15
I came to the same conclusion about the A1 & M1 now interworking. Shame about the reduction in journeys on service M1 though as it did sometimes pick up a few passengers on the way to Thropton, although not many, no clue on the other runs.
Nexus must have got those timetables done quick, VOSA only received the registration changes on November 2nd. Old timetables still on PCL's website and still no A1 timetable.
