That's intresting, must suggest if a versa is off the excel must cover, it would be some ride that! Wonder if PCL share the premises with Glen Valley?

Nah PCL keep their vehicles at the Glendale Business Park. You can get an OK view of the yard from the main road.

06 reg Solo now has Rural Link branding...the same highly professional job as usual.
PCL are cancelling the 808 from 18/03/18. Info from Northumberland Council site.

At least they are improving their fleet a bit.

Wouldn't mind a ride on it, the London spec ones have ZF boxes.

Would not say the same about tonight's offering on the 808 which was Ford Transit ND05XAV - L&B Mini Coaches liveried (no photo as the forum won't add it as a attachment).

The transit would appear to be on loan from the Clydesdale family. I noted it with them last week. The MAN would appear to be a hire vehicle rather than a purchase. There's no change of keeper registered.

The Transit used to belong to Gateshead Central Taxis.

I would not be surprised if it had suffered accident damage. Last time I saw it early December it pulled out into a main road without indicating.

Could it not be caused by the suspension being low as HHU had it moved up.

Ah perhaps it’s been fixed then, didn’t see it the other day when I was at Wooler Bus Station. I was reliably informed the Differential had been “ripped out” whilst the vehicle was in service causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Borders Buses’ pair have had theirs raised too for the same reason.

PCL Travel in the news re 808 Otterburn Newcastle
Perhaps the best way forward would be for a community group to take over the 808. A good example is the little white bus in the Yorkshire dales. Whenever I've seen the 808 there have been more than four passengers aboard.

There’s another Primo added to the fleet this time in a grey/red livery. YX06HVK seen at Diagtest at Durham today.
One of PCLs Primos has been painted into black and red to match the Versas. Noted it abandoned at Alnwick Bus Station early this morning.

Believe its the recently aquired YX06HVK.
Optare Solo YM52TSU appears to have joined the fleet as well, previously with The Eden.
The LDV van is now red and black.

Is that MH06WCU?
Thought that got withdrawn?
Nope, it's still going. Walked past it at Cawledge yesterday.
On VOSA today - Variation to service S1 plus a new service 52 has been registered (although what's the odds that it turns out to be the S2 like the 51 turned out to be the S1? We shall see), both are effective from Monday (I'm guessing the 52 will be a replacement of sorts for the withdrawn section of the Arriva 44?) I would be 99.9% sure it'll be the S2, it seems to be commercial as well which is a bit of a risk considering the 44 is normally empty.
Wonder if they will combine the services so they combine to provide a hourly service between Stannington and Morpeth.

The 'supported by subsidies' part said 'no' on the Phoenix 808 registration before all the info appeared and when it did, it changed to 'yes' so could be the same case again with this service, according to the Arriva changes page at least, on the 44 changes part, it says "We understand that the Council is going to provide an alternative service for Blagdon, Stannington Village and Stannington Station"
S1 seems to be the direct service via Clifton, so I'd assume the S2 would run between Stannington to Morpeth via Stannington Station, Hepscott and Stobhill.
