PCL can't even run the services they have let alone anything as ambitious as this. Please mark speculation as such in the future!
With a bit of marketing, a better operator and stopping at Alnwick bus station (for accessibility and connections) and extending to Alnmouth (for ECML and coast), it could work you know...
06 plate Renault was on the 15s today with garden bin stickers used for the route number.
It's strange how PCL can use Primos on Town services, but deploy this to Rural services.

It's just vinyls rather than garden bin stickers.
Discovered their latest ploy yesterday, they are now on some journeys at least operating services A1 & 15 as one service, got on what I assumed was the 15 in Alnwick Bus Station yesterday afternoon and I found myself being taken to Alnwick Sainsburys, down the A1 and through some villages before eventually ending up in Longframlington which is where the A1 terminates and then onto Rothbury from there

That should be reported to the traffic commissioner as they are as a result missing out Clayport Street, Edlingham and Cragside...
Little Suggestion for PCL...
A1: Withdrawn
406: Re-introduced. This will interwork with 15 alike Spirit Buses service.

Atleast It's an upgrade from the 2006 vans, although I predict residents are becoming fed up with allocations like these.
Morpeth was free of Primos, with new additions operating the T1/S1
T1 - SN04 EGD MPD
S1 - X372 HCT (L&B Minibus)

Could this see the end to PCL, as recently they have significantly dropped in service quality with the use of Taxis on service 882, the regular purchase of vehicles that don't look in very good condition, and combining services to ensure they save having to use an additional bus, and finally let's not forget the use of untaxed and no MOT vehicles on services.
Seems to me that they have some serious charges against them, reminiscent of what happened to Snaith's a few years ago. They have already lost the Wooler to Alnwick routes; let's see what happens to the rest of them when the time comes.

Supposedly they gave the 470/473 up as they were having issues with vandalism, the Versa burnout being cited as the final straw

Not sure if this is a recent acquisition or not, was on the 885 today. Screen was off at the time of taking photo.
It will be, M Travel were selling off a few MPDs recently for next to nothing on Ebay and maybe somewhere else

Can see this being the end of the 15, been rumours about its demise for a little while which I feel have been down to the way the service has been ran by PCL, although strange that the 16 is still registered though...

Wasn't the 15/16 taken over as a contracted service by NCC and given to PCL?

It will be interesting to see who gains those services, my guess would be any of the following:
Phoenix Coaches
Arriva
Rothbury Motors
Glen Valley Tours
Travelsure
