It may or may not be of interest to people, but DRS are holding an open day in 2015 : http://www.directrailservices.com/news-a...n-day-2015

Note: It'll be a ticket event, so keep calling back for ticket details.

Shame it's a paid for event (judging by the tickets on sale line).
Would have been ideal for the kids.

Agree - bet they'd have attracted more attention if it was a free event which allowed for donations to do certain things.

Stagecoach NE's Open Day at Stockton was really good for this - they raised a lot of money for charity thanks to the stalls and various things that you could do (ie bus through the wash) but these were all optional after a free entry.

I checked from last year (Crewe), and it was only £5 per adult, with U16s being free on the basis they're accompanied by an adult. Good value imo.

Ah, if that's the case and it stays like that, then it isn't too bad.
Mrs Constantopolous can pay for herself if she decides to come.

It's been playing havoc with our (DRS') 4A13 Grangemouth to Aberdeen service too since the staff deal with the Teesport service before they sort ours out. Regularly been 10-40 mins late recently, I'm not sure who picks up the delay minutes though - I think it'll be the groundstaff at G'mth!
