Bad news for Heathrow Express. I wonder if they'll investigate Northern's 333s.

Oh dear.
Not good.

Used the service over the summer and found it very 'corporate'. Very slick and efficient too mind.

I've used it once when going from terminal 3 to 5. It was just the shuttle one. I'm usually very lazy and fly BA from Newcastle and change to another BA/IB flight.

A bit worrying, all the same. I wonder if the 333's will be under inspection, too?

I was using BA from Newcastle rather than the train, so scooted in to London using that.
It gets in to Paddington before you have had a chance to get settled.
Not sure if it is worth the premium, but worth using if heading off elsewhere on the rail network.

Not sure about the 333's or if it is a standard/common component.

333s are technically the same as 332s, I haven't read the article yet but I believe it's severe cracks in the bogies that have took them out of service

Had to go to London for a few days for work yesterday. To my surprise on getting the HEX, the 387s are now in service. I have to say, they are definitely a down-grade in terms of comfort compared to the 332s. Seats are hard, luggage racks seem smaller and the green GWR carpet with purple seats just doesn't seem to match. Wasn't very impressed.
