Its now left to the taxpayer to pick up the gap left by commercial decisions that haven't worked. 

I can't remember the exact date the 238 was introduced on a commercial basis, but I'm pretty sure it was well before January last year. 
May 2016 or 2017 perhaps? Can vaguely remember using one of the last (if not the last) 79/79a runs.

From ticketing analysis, I believe there was only a few people a week who used it to go to the hospital. The H1 was introduced because of the uproar from residents.
However are you going to run a service through a low catchment area opposed to an area with more passengers?

If people dont use the service then it's obvious that they will re-route to an area that will. Same reason the old M3 route was removed due to low numbers between heworth road and concord.

When I used to live in burnopfield and travelled to Washington on a Sunday, I wished they would merge the X43 and X88 so I didn't have to change buses to get to washy. Doubt they would create that service just for me......

It was partly replaced by the 26.

For those areas now not served by the 88/88a and 26, they introduced the H1.
It isn't frequent and it doesn't serve the hospital during visiting hours. 

For the westward part of the route, its living in the shadow of the 27 for a big chunk. Even taking in to account the local journeys people might want to make on it, there's more chance of getting the 27, than the H1.

The X6/X7 one looks remarkably similar to an Arriva timetable though!

Have Nexus travel centres still got racks available, I’m sure they downsized them, the old big wall at Gateshead was reduced to just a small panel at least? Also a shame they are still all closed on Saturdays.

The 38 is still allocated a Scania L94, and the 238 is now allocated a Solo SR in fleet livery (from 649-651). There isn't a drawing done for the Scania L94 in the new fleet livery (on the basis that none of them will receive it), so the agency have clearly substituted L94s for OmniCitys or Versas.

A couple of mistakes on the timetable front by the agency that does them. There was proof-checking done at Go North East's end but not everything could be rectified in time before they went for print.

Solo SR 638 is currently VOR, to be transferred from Deptford to Riverside next week.

Of the Blue Arrow OmniCitys, 5266 should be sent from Chester-le-St to Saltmeadows on Monday to get repainted. The others will all remain at Percy Main in Blue Arrow livery until space is available in the paintshop to repaint them. There are no intentions for OmniCitys to join the fleet at Deptford.

For now, two of the Blue Arrow OmniCitys (which will be repainted in the new fleet livery), and Percy Main retain 6069 as a spare for the 14 Coaster branded examples. Longer-term there will be a plan for two double-decks to join Percy Main, one of which will be PVR and the other will be spare (and 6069 will be repainted and branded for Coaster).

The 40/41/42 should be allocated Solo SRs, the 11 should be allocated the older 10-plate Solos, and the 19 should be allocated two Solos too.

A couple of mistakes on the timetable front by the agency that does them. There was proof-checking done at Go North East's end but not everything could be rectified in time before they went for print.

Ah right, shame the Omnicities aren't coming to Deptford.

The Fab56 PVR has reduced by one, but given there were several 'unbranded' Volvo B9 anyway, it meant that one of the spares could be sent away. 6086 and 6099 will be the spare buses for the 56 going forward, with 6085 forming part of the PVR of the 56 (as it did previously).
