(27 Sep 2021, 7:35 pm)Tiger5105 The coast and country streetlites seem very reliable. They don't often miss being on service and plenty of days when the whole batch of 5402 - 5408 are in service on the 78 from Consett.[/quote]
Given the high mileage route they operate that's quite an achievement.
(27 Sep 2021, 7:38 pm)ne14ne1 Side note, and sorry for sounding picky, but they’re not “2019 branded” or “spare branded”. 2019 Corporate Livery / GNE Livery is not a route brand.Ah, soz.

(27 Sep 2021, 7:02 pm)Keeiajs I mean, isn't that what spare branded buses are for. Not 3 Violets on 35 & 2. I went past deptford, there was quite a few buses.

(27 Sep 2021, 7:36 pm)Michael Ah right, but they could be awaiting parts etc?Tbh, while I did see quite a few buses at Deptford today. Looking over bus times they don't have many free buses. Infact I think they'll end up needing more. With Deptford having the old age average in all of GNE's depots, Bar Riverside, but riverside has a lot of buses.
I don't work for GNE so have no idea.

(27 Sep 2021, 7:44 pm)Keeiajs Tbh, while I did see quite a few buses at Deptford today. Looking over bus times they don't have many free buses. Infact I think they'll end up needing more. With Deptford having the old age average in all of GNE's depots, Bar Riverside, but riverside has a lot of buses. There was a board for a decker on an early morning X20 , and occasionally one has dropped all day, but the decker allocation is much tighter now with the 4274/5025 accounting for 3943/6942
It just boggles my head why they would Sick a omnidekka on the 33 or 39, when there are buses which they could switch out. Such as a Streetlites on there instead of a omnidekka and stick that on the X20.
Or why stick all the Violet branded buses on not the 55, when there is 3. 2 on the 35. And the cherry branded bus being on the 55. Just perplexes me.

(27 Sep 2021, 7:40 pm)cbma06 There are allocated berries doing the 55 and 61 also, should of made so there be just 1 brand for Sunderland boundary area, if a Berry is doing other branded services then that allocation should just be a cooperate colour bus, otherwise it’s just going to confuse the passenger who waiting for a certain colour branded bus to get home.Well the Berries do a 55, on a morning and afternoon, same what a Drifter did.

62 looks like it has good loadings with the X6, nice to see. I also think there will be like 6 Peterlee Purples based at Deptford as that is where the 62/X6 operate from.
And another 2 are being replanted into the S&D Silver. Wonder what buses the S&D Blonde are getting.
(24 Sep 2021, 7:42 pm)Stanleyone It's been said over and over again, there's no point in moving recently painted B5s from chester to Consett in exchange for streetdecks, it's simply not cost effective.Passed X21 Bishop bound B5TL transferring passengers at Parkhead onto spare gemini 5.35pm tonite

(28 Sep 2021, 5:05 pm)Tiger5105 Apologies if I've missed something but what has happened to streetdeck 6369 as ots disappeared from bustimes altogether after showing as not being used since MayMight have been in a accident and impounded.
(28 Sep 2021, 5:46 pm)stagecoachbusdepot Only needs 1 vehicle from what I can tell - assuming the other runs are Peterlee Purples where they interwork with X6/62I believe you are correct.

(29 Sep 2021, 4:56 pm)Keeiajs Which non-Dual door buses have electric ramps. I think only Euro 4 OmniCitys do? Any other ones?

(29 Sep 2021, 5:04 pm)deanmachine Most buses bought between 2005 and 2014 came with electric ramps, but they've all been replaced for manual ramps due to being more reliable. Always made me nervous on a Gold 35 Citaro when I had a wheelchair hoping the ramp worked on the bus and wasn't going to fail and leave everyone stranded.I remember I was at Park Lane and there was a LIME Cadet, and the ramp just wouldn't go fully down or return in. But I didn't know GNE had any, turns out there are some OmniCitys with it. Well atleast one. And I believe this one is Euro 4 as it was based in Chester-Le-Street.

The X45/X46 and 45/46/47 was previously run fine using StreetLites. Given the evening & Sunday boards are now E400MMCs (unless Sunday 47/47A will be covered by StreetDecks over B9TLs), it would make sense to swap not forgetting extra 35-40ish round mile enhanced BSOG per journey and fleet commonality given the size of CLS & Washington depots.
A total waste of money potentially having brand new under warranty vehicles parked up on evenings & Sundays when they should be out on the road making revenue.

(30 Sep 2021, 5:25 am)Dan I was clear last time, it isn’t going to happen.Seems the current ones on it, aren't that suited aswell. Some spend more time off the road than on.
StreetDecks aren’t suited to a route like the X21, that has been proven. Pointless running the risk with newer StreetDecks where the exact same could happen again.
