(20 Dec 2021, 3:01 pm)Keeiajs I would order 6 E200's for the X84/85
And I would keep the X84 the way it is.
And Send X85 via Metrocentre, NCL Business Park, Blaydon, (this may get a lot of hate just a thought) straight upto Consett, A68, Corbridge, Hexham

(20 Dec 2021, 5:55 pm)V514DFT What i'd like to know is why is he making a thread for something that already exists? He has a name, and also afaik there has only been Sept Services Changes, Nov or Oct (can't remember which one) so i thought I would create a new one to discuss all the current ones.
(20 Dec 2021, 6:57 pm)Keeiajs There really is some upcoming....Hopefully it will involve diverting the X72 via the Metrocentre and restoring a link between it and Annfield Plain. New number 7?

If you have to have an X72, replace the short 6 terminating at Stanley.
None of the X30s and X31s going via Gateshead is just nuts too.

(23 Dec 2021, 12:45 pm)Storx Might aswell just bring back the 43/44 if doing that. There's been umpeen changes and everytime they're getting closer to where it all started anyway. Can't really remember anyone ever complaining about the routes either (excluding delays).I remember the Gateshead stuff whcih I agree on.

(23 Dec 2021, 12:48 pm)Keeiajs I remember the Gateshead stuff whcih I agree on.Any unexpected extreme traffic is outside of GNE's control. They can't account for everything although where they know there's certain pinchpoints, they can routinely time for that.
However I agree, most of the complaints are that a lot Consett services especially the ones Via the Metro into Newcastle are late.
Thsi was a few weeks ago, but someone I know told me that they were stuck on the X46 from Metrocetnre to Newcastle for 45 mins.

(23 Dec 2021, 3:44 pm)L469 YVK Any unexpected extreme traffic is outside of GNE's control. They can't account for everything although where they know there's certain pinchpoints, they can routinely time for that.We ended up getting into Gateshead/Newcastle about 25 mins late yesterday due to traffic at Bishop Auckland retail park and the A1. By the time the X21 got to Tindale it was already 12 mins late, it spent most of that time getting between Tesco and the retail park roundabout!
If a major RTC happened on the A1 or A19, the X21/X10 would get caught out even with layover in Newcastle.
